Is it just my screen or does changing the gamma in game fuck up the screen settings? I have to change the color of the screen again back to normal through the amd software. Anyone else experience this?

I see. Are you also unable to change the brightness and contrast settings directly through the buttons on the screen?
haven’t tried I’m not home atm
only when I restart my pc it will be normal again but I can try some more in the evening

Known Problem… look at the streams of the game, on Twitch or Youtube. It seems every lets player must set the gamma new if he restart the game.
Still exists in 1.3.1, bloody annoying, on AMD it seems there’s no way to reset the gamma to how it was before when returning to the desktop, other than rebooting which isn’t always convenient.

Ihave had this happen quite a few times now.
at first I thought it was AMD/Windows and some issue therein.
after a few more times, Istarted to think it was the game… and then the other day was the second time in a row,… where Icaught it- it was a windows update that keeps trying to install (sometimes even succesfully installed),… and it keeps rearing its ugly head.
It doesn’t list it in the logs of updates, or that it HAS done it… but the ‘installing update’ sceen on closing windows (and colour returnng right each time Isee it finish its task…).
Caught it the other day trying to show the game to a friend.
First time game was having glitches and a stutter.
Said ‘this isn’t right’, hit reboot… watched the update finish installing for the ninth time.
Right as rain on return to game. (and has been since)
Major coincidence, sure… but it has happened this way now multiple times and I have little doubt it is a windows update making these shenanigans happen.
I can change it through the amd Radeon software though. You should have it too if you’ve got amd. In the software, go to display and click on color. You’ll get options to change everything.
Also seen others complaining about this issue and they are nvidia users, so…
Yeah it’s a general problem apparently. And I think it’s the game interacting with the windows settings and fucking up the global settings. Doubt it’s any windows update since my auto updates are turned off
Mine too (updates are off),… my machine hasnt been on the net for over a month… yet I keep watching an update install (randomly),… and each time it is the only time I get this same issue.
As I said the udate has succesfully installed itself multiple times, and the logs dont reflect it. But seeing ‘installing update’ shutting windows down is a very obvious tell.

I’ve tried the AMD software but clicking reset for example doesn’t change it, I don’t want to have to change my gamma sliders to a false position to reset the gamma on my desktop, that makes no sense to me.
It’s just a temporary solution if you’re gonna continue using your pc after playing the game without having to reboot everytime.
