So, by inference, your porn excludes the act of intercourse? Kinky.
I think that this game is a realistic medieval battle simulator, not a reproduction simulator.
The idea behind this forum is to help the devs to do a better game (based on their guidelines), not to talk about âwhatever we wantâ. If you want to talk about âeverythingâ, you could open an âoff topicâ discussion or go to another forum. In that way, nor the devs nor the people that are trying to help them will waste time.
Nope, thatâs not the case. The devs have their guidelines. Our suggestions will not waste any of their time. When they see this thread, the only thing they need to do is spending one second on judging if our suggestions are reachable. If the suggestions are not achievable, then pass it. It doesnât waste any time. On the contrary, our suggestions create more choices for them.
Remember, this is a public forum, not a develop forum. We do say whatever we want, under right categories.
Well, haha, good point. However, Iâm not talking about which includes which, or which excludes which. The word âsexâ does not equal to âpornâ literally. Iâm simply suggesting that if the Devs team can create this feature in a beautiful way, then we should not oppose sex scenes in game.
Apart from your pathetic use of capital letters, at least you were able to distill the following; â⊠everyone seems to want to have âŠâ. Bravo, you got the point.
Manners, gentlemen(or ladies), manners. If youâre going to say something, be respective please.
On netiquette:
âAnother rule is to avoid typing in all caps or grossly enlarging script for emphasis, which is considered to be the equivalent of shouting or yelling.â
That is exactly how it was intended as you can see the entire post was not done in capitals only the sentence i was stressing. So in the instance I was using it I was shouting!
I suggest if you donât want to hear it to cover your eyes!
why would you need kids? plus what function would they hold?
i can sympathize. iâve been here since the start, but itâs getting harder to be civil with these people who apparently donât know how to read or use basic functions like search(even when itâs helpfully thrust upon you when you start a topic).
I wouldnât recommend doing that outside of this forum.
Adult content is something that many want to see in this game. This thread is to discuss that topic, not to force your straitlaced opinion onto everyone.
For me, immersion is A and O in most games (not all, god forbid) and the reason Iâve backed Deliverance is that I hope it to live up to that, hopefully more than most games Iâve played. To be immersed is for me to believe itâs real (within the context of being a game, obviously). To achieve that I want as many elements in the game that add to the feeling. Sex, as someone pointed out, is a very real part of life and to have sexual themes in a game is one factor that contributes to that feeling of immersion for me. I should add that sex per se doesnât necessarily do that, it has to be done in a real, believable way.
I should also mention I donât like sex in games in order to get horny, thereâs real people or porn for that. I.e. if the sex is presented with an agenda to make me horny, itâll miss its mark completely.
I find it funny that people are against other for wanting Sex or Religion in the game. When Those two things are apart of life for many people. More important to Role Play a 15th Century European Warrior. Which in that case you are even more likely to be Catholic and the ever swaying ties to the church. Why shouldnât one be allowed to Role Play as a Hero that loves to have sex and goes to church? Then turns around and kills a whole village for fun? Well the sad thing is how likely that actually did all happen. So what is so terrible about Role Playing in an RPG. They just need a button to skip that action or scene and give the player the option of doing it or not. If a player decides on it like say Dragon Age Origins then why not. I loved that game. My Character was a devote believer in the creator and had sex with all the women. I ended up keeping faithful to Leliana . DA was without a doubt one of my best experiences in an RPG. The action was fun. The story kept me wanting more. It was grim and dirty. It was rich and wonderful. Where 2 wasnât as much that to me. So I personally hope they donât go killing content. They just need to make it optional for those that do like in Fable.
No Adult content is not something that many want to see in this game only the vocal few including yourself. You will never know if this is something that âeveryoneâ wants until they canvas all of the kickstarter fundraisers. I suggest you take time out to smell what your shoveling and stop assuming that everyone wants to see sex in this game!
Other than voicing your opinion on this and discussing how they might implement this in game, thereâs no real reason to argue back and forth.
Warhorse has already said that thereâs a strong possibility we will see sex or nudity or whatever you want to call it in game. Meaning that we should expect it, so it shouldnât be a question of âifâ but âhow much and in what way?â
And if youâre not looking forward to it, why not explain why you donât, instead of refusing to agree to disagree with Ragnar?
This entire thread was started by one man asking if he could âdo it with bitches!â your question is a far more precise question and far more palatable than what was originally suggested!
For me Iâd rather not buy into a game that had the âAct of sexâ in a game there are other ways to get my jollies on the internet than playing a game. This game also has to be marketed at a wider audience than just the perverted few that do want to see this, it needs to be palatable for everyone and not just morons that want to pretend to have virtual sex inside a game which is where this thread had originally started.
Most good novels will infer the act of sex rather than describe it, once they start to describe it it becomes porn. I do not want to play a game such as that and I am pretty sure most other people will as well but as I already stated without canvassing the future playing group there is no way for sure what the populous wants.
stop speaking for all other players. You have no idea what âmostâ want or do not want.
Calling people perverted or morons is just a childish way to debate.
I have no need of explicit sex in this game. ⊠But this game was sold on the idea of a ârealistic medievalâ game⊠And since people did have sex⊠It sort of need to be in the game in some way. (and sex was not a âbadâ topic in the same way as it became with some versions of Protestantism.)
One of the strongest features of the roleplaying game is the ability for a player to live an interesting and engaging story based on the things they like. The character you play generally has a personality that you develop along the way. In one passthrough of the game your character might be an innocent and straight laced knight while in another it might be a womanizing bard. What is in the game should enhance the story created by playing the character.
If your playing a womanizing bard, why WOULDNâT you try to hit up a girl in a bar? And yes, sometimes you might get lucky. But sex should only be present where it enhances the story being told about the character you are playing. I feel that DragonAge is a good example of how sex becomes integrated into the story. The elf NPC you run across is a slut, pure and simple. It shows up in his speech, how he hits on other characters all the time, etc. The naughty parts in relationship to said elf become part of the story being told. He is an example of a well written character.
However, if the sex is just tacked on or poorly handled, then they might as well leave it out. Just like if archery is tacked on and poorly handled they should leave it out. At this point the question shouldnât be âShould they include sex.â The question should be âCan you make the characters in the game, including mine, rich and diverse with lots of strong personalities.â Then the gamplay will determine if sex should be included in the game⊠as part of an outgrowth of how the character you play interacts with others. If it doesnât fit as a natural part of play, then donât include it.
Boojum the brown bunny
Iâd rather they spend development time on more important issues like quests and story.
