What type of sneaking mechanism would backers like, Vision-Cones like those in Hitman/Dues-ex or Zone-alerts like in older Thief games. Maybe a mix of both, something new.
A system like in Splinter Cell would be appreciated:
- vision (direct line of sight, degree of darkness)
- sound (movement, animals (like dogs))
Dishonored stealth is very well executed IMO
I dont want to see view’s etc i want to have to guess how things will work sticking to the shadows and watching for anyone who could spot me etc. no like area for where i could be spotted if i enter etc
dishonored sucks. thief and splinter cell have good systems. hitman(not the last one) also has a good social stealth system. maybe if you’re a spie, you can wear enemy soldier’s clothing after you kill the original wearer and hide his body somewhere.
one problem with wearing a guy you just killed gear is either um blood or damage from you stabbing through his gear if you plan on taking someones gear you should have to A be the same size, B kill them cleanly
The cool thing about it is that blood and dirt is accumulated on clothing so that it would be a good idea if you can wash them before wearing them or even more realistic, knock him out without stabbing him to death. But if you do stab him and there is blood on you, then the guards should notice it and question him.
