So, what are YOUR expectations of KC?

Browsing the boards, I can actually see a lot of discussions, conflicting opinions and most importantly, expectations. Some people are already acting as if the game was supposed to be the sole savior of human kind, pretending as if their vision of it was the ultimate one that they fully expect to come out.

Now, I have actually backed this game for one reason. Well, two. Well, three. Ehm, one was that I wanted to follow development of a game and be involved in some way, for once. Usually, I’m the kind of guy who evades all information on titles he is looking forward to, so he gets the definite version of the game with no expectations, and now I wanted to be a part of the ‘craze’, so to speak. Second, I really like how the game looks like, want it to come out, and I tend to put money where my mouth is. Third, I wanted to see another community emerging - mostly because I enjoy communities emerging.

Now, my expectations of the title are that it will never come out. You know, if you’re a pessimist, you will only get pleasant surprises in your life. But what do other people who have invested their money in it think? Do you think that what you expect of the title is reasonable? How will you feel like if it turns out different than you wanted it to be? Does your vision of the game seem similar to that of the majority of posters here?

i backed this game for the sole reason that 90 percent of the stated goals and features conform to my view of what a good medieval rpg game with acceptable limits and freedoms would be like.

also, the visual and art design, aethetics, etc conform perfectly to my tastes, so this is a matter of luck and i guess appreciation for good art. i don’t mean to brag, but not many people have this. they are perfectly fine with assassins creed style of “historic realism”.

other than that, i expect the game to look at play like a polished version of what i’ve seen already, extrapolated 2 years. fair enough?

I’m huge fan of RPG and realistic games…I love DayZ and even in Skyrim I had to download Realism mod so I can enjoy it more…also I like history of my country, so it’s gonna be interesting for me and I’ve played games that developers made early and this game is going to be the combination of the best from these games. I love their communication with their community and I can’t wait for the game to be released!

Mhh my expectations are difficult to define but I’ll give it a try :smirk:

The 1st video I saw was the horse-preview and I liked the graphics. After watching and reading more about KC I enjoyed the possibility to play an open world RPG set in the medieval time without nasty magicians, vampires, huge spiders and more fantasy beasts.

In the past two years I often played Mount & Blade and I’m still playing it from time to time because of its “sandbox” style. There is no story at all and u are the one to write your story.
On the other hand I also play Games with a good storyline.

And here I guess are my expectations for the upcoming game:

-Sandbox RPG in the medieval without fantasy elements,
-combined with a storyline and side quests,
-the option to craft own equipment,
-and to have realistic combat system.

I guess these are my most important expectations for the Game.

I’m only waiting for the best medieval RPG game I have ever seen : sandbox game with handsome fights which allow me to do what I want while remaining as realistic as possible.

I backed this game because it is exactly the kind of game that I have dreamed of making since I decided to be a game programmer. I love fantasy with all my heart but I always wanted a purely medieval game, no elves and dwarves, no wizards no ‘fate of the planet’ just one regular guy wandering a kingdom, doing stuff. The only other expectation I have is epic battles and quests. I am all set to love this game what with all of the amazing promises and just how fantastic it looks. I find it highly unlikely that I will be disappointed.

12 years ago I played a game which really impressed me. But it was like a meal which was a bit to less. It left me back with a hunger. Since then I played some games but they all felt like wasting of time. This is this first game where I think: That could satisfy my hunger.

I am a fan of the guys from Warhorse Studios. Some of them used to work in a game developing company that was once among the top of its kind in our country and was even based in my home town. They created several of my most favorite and most played games so far, which also scored a serious worldwide succes.
Some stuff to be proud for to me.

The old company is now essentially gone and buried, but they managed to create a new one. They keep proving they are still here, pretty much alive and kicking.
And they came up with a concept of a game that finally seems to incorporate a load of ideas and game mechanics which I have been thinking of while playing numbers of other games during the last decade, in hope that someone someday should try to do this and that stuff in ways similar to what they have shown here… although i started slowly giving such ideas up in the past several years, for seeing the same painful reasons for which they failed with the mainstream game industry.

But then something like Warhorse Studios and their Kingdom Come: Deliverance starts to appear and look like they seriously mean it all. And they eventually get as far as they were three weeks back…

If I just had a printing press for money in the past few weeks… but I’m sure even the small Knight pledge did help them to make it in the end.

My expectations? Their Kickstarter frontpage and development videos do sum them up pretty well…

Straight up an awesome, long over due game!!!

The main reason I know about this game is because it uses Cryengine. Thats it

Once I started learning more about it, it started sounding like an awesome game. I like Skyrim for sword fighting but I dont care for magic so this is perfect for me. Although I do like Dragons
