I sold the rare Magdeburg sword(the one you get from the faint hearted knight) to the swordsmith in Rattay a while ago with the intention of rebuying, but now It’s not in his store. What can I do?
The merchant probably resold it, just as a pawn shop does in real life. Try murdering the npcs until you find it.
Who could have bought it though??
If it was expensive probably, nobility.
Start out with them in the vicinity. If you had no luck with that they may have already moved on to the next town. So that is where this can get tricky and you will just have to hunt the map for it.
Try killing merchants to. Some don’t sell their weapons because of the status effect these objects give them.

Guess you will have to try pick pocketing them. If your skill is to low, murder is your only option.
