Some bugs (Bow animation, Dialogue cam and some more)

Hey everyone.

I’ve been playing KCD for 3 days niw an i really enjoy it. Anyway today there were some bugs in my game:

  1. The bow-drawing animation is missing. Shooting works but there is no animation and so there is no aiming possible.

  2. Suddenly there is no dialogue cam. The screen fades to black and goes back to 1st person.

  3. HD-vegetation textures do not load. Im sitting here for minutes and im still staring at green rectangles.

  4. Henrys hose doesnt fit on his model so im running through Bohemia with a half naked arse.

Latest version is intalled and it’s vanilla so there are no mods installed.

If you have low level, you wont draw your bow much before releasing the arrow.

Fades to black shouldn’t happen but 1st person dialogues sometimes happen, usually just first round of conversation, then it usually flips to 3rd person.

If vegetation doesn’t load, then you might need to free up more space for proper running of KCD, it is demanding and even stuff like loading textures consumes your memory like crazy. I can tell from my experience, when this happened to me, my game crashed or I played for a long session. Save and restart the game.

The Bow drawing issue has nothing to do with my level. The day before yesterday it worked perfectly. And as I said I can shoot arrows, they fly as far as they should but the animation of drawing the bow is missing and so aiming is impossible.

I have no third person dialogue anymore. There is not one in 3rd person.

I’m running KCD on my SSD and there is about 80 GB of free space on the drive. My VRAM is 6 GB and my RAM is 16.

I reinstalled it today but it’s the same. I only want to play it properly - it’s such a great game!

I think I found the error. It looks like there was some issue with my hard drive as there were other programs that caused problems, too. After setting up my PC from the very start the game runs better than ever incl. HD textures.

I think this thread can be closed and I’m off to Rattay now. :grin:
