Some questions regarding the realism

*I originally posted this on KC subreddit, the post can be found here: http://www.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/comments/1y9vex/some_questions_regarding_the_realism/

I was recommended to post this on official forums, so there I go.*

Hi, I would like to ask some questions that regard the realism of the game. I have just finished watching the stream on Youtube and I have some concerns, I know it was pre-alpha footage, so I am not complaining about anything, but it would be nice to have some answers:

    1. Does the combat system aim to be ultra realistic in regards of wounds? If the blade goes through your belly (seen multiple times during the stream), will that take just this one move to kill the opponent/your opponent to kill you?
    1. Will the healing system be realistic eg. will it take some time for wounds to heal or will you be able to bandage yourself and be ok immediatelly?
    1. Will you be able to ruin your items during crafting, eg. will grinding your sword in the wrong way ruin the whole blade?
    1. Similar to previous question, will there be some standart procedures for cooking the potions and if you fail to mix the proper ingredients, can you poison yourself? On the other hand, will you be able to craft poisons on purpose and poison others?
    1. You meantioned in the stream, that if you kill someone, she/he will disappear from the game. What happens if you kill someone important for the story? Will you be able to finish it or will there be alternative ending?
    1. Similar to previous question: If you for example kill a blacksmith, will he get replaced by his apprentice?
    1. Enchanting the previous question: Does the merchants/craftsmen have their skill and will this effect the quality of goods they sell? For example the master blacksmith sells fine weapon, but if he gets killed and is replaced by someone else less experienced, will the weapons sold be lower quality?
    1. For the sake of recent Valentine’s Day, will you be able to date a girl and possibly have a children in future acts?
    1. How fast does the time flow ingame? How many real time minutes equal to ingame minutes?
    1. In regards the previous question, will the quests be affected by the time you spend completing them, eg. being too slow will fail the quest?
    1. Again in regards the previous question, will “failing” be a big part of the game? I believe in real word everything does not only go right, but you have to face many problems.
    1. You mentioned 3D face screening in the stream, will we be able to meet YOU and other devs ingame? Some peasants maybe? :stuck_out_tongue:
    1. Not sure if this was asked/answered before: Will the character have to eat, drink and rest? Will your horse need to do the same? If yes, will there be some kind of failure system if you fail to fulfill your body needs?

Lots of questions! Sorry for my epic level of curiousity. I will be glad to see at least some answers, sadly I missed the AMA, that was just couple days ago on the subreddit so I am hoping for some official answers here. Thank you in advance!

The very most of your questions are already discussed in several others threads. If you search a bit, you will find it. Maybe you want to summarize all the answers here as an overview?

regarding question 9): in the last section of the live stream video it took about a quarter of an hour from noon to sunset. So i guess one day in the game is about one hour in realtime.

Like @Brakebein already said, almost all of these questions are discussed in other threads. But anyway I don’t think you will find the answers you are looking for, as all these discussions are mostly speculations of users who know as much as you do.

You would need answers from some of the devs but you won’t find them here or at least just rarely and without detailed content. Of course the devs can’t spend the whole day in the forums answering the same questions over and over again and they shouldn’t. They have other things to do.

But I am sure most of your questions will be answered by updates over time. All of us are burning to know more but here you will mostly find wild assumptions and suggestions from the community members.

I kinda Like blood = health system (with effects of blood loss) in DAY-Z mod. Only problem is that blood doesn’t regenerate at all over time.

Drink the blood of your enemies. :stuck_out_tongue:

Food causes small blood regen and if you have friendly player you can let him apply bloodpacks on you but this is already OT.
