Some quick questions

Howdy all; I’m digging this game so far but have some quick questions.

  1. Now that I’m in Rattay, how do I find new quests? do I just talk to everyone I meet? So far that has not yielded anything.
  2. Is stealing and looting corpses the only way to make money?
  3. How can I get a sword and some armor? does this just happen as a matter of course by working the main quest? I’d like to go out into the wider world and explore but I have no gear.
  4. Why are none of the merchants in Rattay open? it’s after 10:00 in the morning and all their doors are locked.

Advance the main quest a bit and things will get easier for you.
Regarding getting more quests, try the inns.

also; how do you spend perk points? Does it tell you somewhere how many you have to spend?

Check your quest log go talk to sir radzig
Dont steal its bad forthr story line if you get caught
Swords and stuff come after talking to Sir radzig and completing the tutorial
Inns and shops are closed because this game is about realism and npcs will sleep and eat.

My first and most crucial tip which isn’t obvious to a new player is to do combat practice with captain Bernard. Get to learn the combat and ask him to teach you master strikes and combos.

If shops are locked after 8 am try to wait 1 hour intervals till they open, sometimes the shop keepers are just on their way.

Hunting is a good alternative to make money, but you’ll need a horse to help you carry all the meat.

Cant get that training until you do the full neuhof quest and kill runt.

I did it before neuhof, you just have to wait a full day after training with him the first time.
