Some suggestions to improve the game

Clothing/Armor/Weapons

Something very simple, being able to order specific clothes or armor/weapons.
Say I’ve seen a nice Gambeson but none of the colors I’ve seen it in matches what I already wear. Or I want it black/dark to be less noticeable.
Why couldn’t I go find one of the good tailors in Sassau or Rattay and order one ? If they sell the item they should be able to craft one for me in the color I prefer. It would be more expensive and take some time but it should be doable.

Same for armor, some pieces have colored leather, I should be able to order the color I want I suppose ? And shields, maybe I want Skalitz design on my shield, can’t they do that for me ?

And even some pieces of armor might be missing, like I found almost all the pieces of armor on italian style (Milan I believe is the name ingame ?) but I’m missing just one say pauldrons, couldn’t I order a set to an armorer?

It’s completely unimportant but for those of us who like to look good and match items/colors it would be nice.

At the baths another service to just wash some clothes, they wash the ones I’m wearing when I batch but what if I have some others I would like washed as well ? it could use the same mechanic than repairing in shops but would wash the clothes. The perk that gives charisma when wearing laundered clothes should apply to those too if I wear them later in the day.

Armor/weapons could also be polished but maybe at the armorere/weaponsmith or blacksmith not the baths ?

Perks:

Perks that make food raw or cooked spoil slower in the inventory , could it be possible to make it so it work in the horse inventory instead, or add another lvl 2 that applies to horse inventory ? Thought I’ve never tested it so maybe it’s already how it works but the way it’s worded I wouldn’t expect it. And food, specialty eh raw meat from a hunt is never on me, always on my horse as most people do I suppose, it’s too heavy otherwise and too risky if raw and marked stolen.

Hunting :

I was expecting a perk that would help me track a specific animal in the wild ? Maybe if you can locate a hunting spot then from there you can learn to track the animal (boar/deer) if they’ve moved ? The better your level the older tracks you can find/follow.

And that reminds me of the quest to find Pie, it was great and finding the horse’s poop made sense at first, but a horse doesn’t poop every 5 meters for hours when traveling. Finding 1 or 2 poops on the whole way , sure, but here he was sick or something and would have been dead by the time I’ve found him.
On the other hand, specially if he has horseshoes then I should be easily able to track him, specially in the woods where the dirt is a bit more humid and mars are easy to spot.
Hunting skill could play a role in that.

In fact that mechanic of following tracks could open the possibility of many quests I believe.

Edit :
Oh I forgot, the tracking system could be useful to find the bodies of the people you killed.
When I fight against multiple enemies , specially in the woods/bushes, I cannot stop to loot in mid combat, obviously. And as I move a lot to avoid getting surrounded when it’s all over it’s very rare when I can find the earlier bodies.
Wish I could track them, after all the fight left traces, blood/crushed grass/ tracks in the mud/broken twigs etc so I should be able to retrace my steps if I know how to look.

A way to tag items in your inventory, say I don’t want to sell them , for example but they’re to stay on me or my horse not the chest at home then I often make mistakes and sell them anyway because they get mixed up with more of the same that I loot and sell.

Lol…I laughed when I got to the poops part…

you’re cruel, poor horse is suffering the worse case of food poisoning ever and you’re laughing at him :stuck_out_tongue:

All good points. One thing I’d like to add is would be nice to have TrackIR support. Would alleviate a lot of the targeting issues during combat, and it’s just much more natural looking around in general. It really helps to be able to move the head independent of the torso.

I’d implore the devs to add men on horseback, donkeys pulling carts, wandering merchants (if that was a thing back then). Horses were probably expensive, so pretty much only nobleman could afford, or military cavalry, but would lend to the world ambiance to have some horseback patrols, guarded merchants travelling from town to town, even some mounted bandits. I’m surprised there is nobody on horseback at all.

Anyhow, cool game none the less. Just some tweaks here and there, would be nice.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Good day!

Agreed, I suppose it’s a limitation either of the engine (pathfinding and such) or maybe to amke it easier on our systems. For people with consoles or PC that just meet the requirements more people on the roads might be too much to handle ?
But it sure would be nice.

Another thing I would love to see added : being able to knock on a door and call out to someone

Say I need to talk to an NPC who is inside a closed or private building or area, why can’t I just knock on the door if it’s a building or call out for him if i’s just a private area.
When you knock or use the option to call out you could have a list of all NPC’s in the area/building and select the one you’re after.
If it’s the middle of the night and you bothered someone for nothing then they can be mad at you but if ti’s urgent well it could be nice.

I’ve had some quests where you were expected to report as soon as possible, emergencies, but sometimes had to wait for hours for the NPC I was after to wake up and get out of his house.
