SPOILER: Get good gear and tons of Groschen for free (That shouldn't be possible!)

Hello everybody,
at my very first hours in game I noticed something realy…well…unrealistic and it’s also some kind of gamebreaker for my playthrough:
During my very first fast travel outside of rattay I met a Knight who wants to fight with me…I was still the poor Little Blacksmith’s son from the beginning…no Chance at all i guessed. So I denied and he left.
Short and uninpressive Story but here we go…
I sneaked behind him, overwhelmed him and took all his gear. So I continued my journey (now fully equipped) and met another Knight AT THE SAME ITINERARY who wants to fight with me also…same procedere than before…took all his stuff (that was even better than the stuff before)

The results:
After selling the first stolen gear i got round about 4000 Groschen and still a full plated armor + Weapons.
From this Point i played over 50 hours without dying only one time…killing hundreds of bandits and cumans (and I’m REALY bad in fighting in KCD :D)

I think it shouldn’t be possible to overwhelm a guy who wears a closed helm or a chain Hood…how will i get him unconscious with my bare Hands? Also the “strangle Animation” look a bit out of place when the guy wear a helm :smiley:

I hope u can get what i mean because english is not my first language (as you have probably already noticed :D)

well you wlaked behind him and choked him until he was unconsious, naturally you could loot his ass

how can i choke him? he wears a closed Helmet :wink:
the travelling Knight is a random Event so the Location Doesnt matter…it can happen everywhere!

It’s about as realistic as a bandit taking 24 arrows to their stomach and still charging at you. But hey, ya gotta eat and sleep and reload 6 different saves to avoid that quest bug, right? Lol

Yeah I have met him maybe three time…I think Olbram is his name. But I am never thought to stun him and take his things. :-))

Helmets are a bad thing to have on if someone gets the drop on you from behind, as they often allow that person additional grip on you head.

Chainmail wont stop someone braking your neck or applying constriction with their arm, neither will a helmet stop torque being applied.

I didnt break his neck…i just get him unconscious by choking :wink:
When you sneak behind someone, you didnt break is neck or something like that…you just choke him and he gets unconscious . Again: With a closed helmed or a chain hood this should be, at least, quite difficult!
I dont want to discuss if this would work in real life or not…i just wanted to say that this should imo not be possible because you can easily get the best gear and tons of Groschen nearly for free…

Well same goes for me but in a different way…I managed to find some chest not far away from Neuhof, in a camp along the road. No one around and not even locked at all, and i just found maybe one of the best armor set (complete) in the game (I’m not sure if it’s a “treasure” chest but I don’t think so as it is just along the road.

This shouldn’t be possible at this point, because obviously in my new full plate armor the game changed completely in a very easier way, I think at least they should put some guards or lock this chest with a medium / hard lock.

If it Destroys your rpg-experience, why Just dont Take it? Roleplaying Always requires the Player, to do Things, that extend the game mechanics :slight_smile:

Well i got my first set of weapon / armor for free too - took me like 10minutes to walk back to my bed due to being overloaded XD but was worth it.

(It was the armory behind the church in rattay :wink: open door and a guard passing every 5-10 minutes. So enough time to get the loot and esccape )

I cant find this Camp with Armor

Edit: i found the Camp(north east from Neuhof) but the Chest is locked and only hunt stuff in.

I found this out early on and now have to pay him 700 groschen just to talk to him now because he hates me.

They fixed this bug pretty quickly, there was nothing in it for me like 3-4 days ago.
