Is there any ETA on when this quest will be fixed? There is a clear issue with this quest when you don’t meet up with the girls but see them get attacked(he will still see visions instead of wood cutters attacking the women, therefore forcing you to kill visions/bandits).

If you followed the mission as originally scripted you would have had no problems. Only that you would hafta decide try to save the women or let them get killed and not kill the"demon" villagers.
It is a no win situation.
The mission was scripted a certain way and not following can lead to uncertain results
The game allows you to watch from afar without intervening. The way the quest behaves, it looks like that was one of the scripted paths but it was never actually finished.
