I completed the game few days ago, but i feel feel that end was very bad - boring (The last track of sound track - lyrics are about plague, so i expected at least bad plague come end…). Do you think that end was rushed too, or its just bad storytelling?
Was main story good for you? I liked props like graphics, try to be historical etc… some side quests, but main story was mainly boring for me, maybe except few moments like - bath quest for Hans and i was disappointed by lack of real choice, overall story was to linear…
Boring + linear is not good combination, i know that open world games main story is usually problematic, but when i thing about Morrowind, Oblivion, even Skyrim, Gothics etc… they had better overall story, even without 15 minutes long expensive but usually empty cutscenes.
I dont like epic boss fights, but here was only 1 such fight with Runt and i took 1 hit to head and few hits to Ulrich… otherwise i was killing some generic enemies without name.
Also historical feeling was mainly from graphics and sound assets, but when i dont feelt it too much from dialogs, what is big missed opportunity. Similar problem i have with pacing, game tried to force me to feel that there is too much time, but only moments had timeout, otherwise i could do nothing for days… Its shame that game dont have real Calendar and maybe only few quests have some timeouts - and you dont see result of such failing (someone else would find and burn waldesians, womans summoning devil killed by woodcuters, fine execution )… - developers boasted about that but in real game is almost nothing as real living world, where is not player main trigger of events.
How you would rate the main story? Im giving 6/10 halberds, nothing special
