St George Sword disappears from hand / inventory after first part quest "train hard, fight easy

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am encountering the following problem / BUG
In my adventures I managed to get the ST George Sword at one of the treasure chests (think Treasure VII).

When I am doing the first part of the “Train hard, Fight easy” quest this sword disappears from my inventory / hand. (dont know if other items have vanished from my inventory) I only just noticed this about two days after this has happened.

I have been trying to find a way around this problem.
The only thing that works is to store the sword in one of your storage chests like the one at the rattay mill or one at an inn where you have rented a room.

I want to ask if there is a way to get my lost ST George sword back?
I want to ask if this is a bug / if this bug can be fixed?
I want to ask if other people are encountering this problem?

Hope someone can help with this.

Hi, what platform do you use to play please? do you have the 1.5 patch installed? Do you might even have a savegame for us?

OS = Windows 7 Enterprise 64 Bits (fresh install) and all recent patches and updates from windows update
DirectX version = 11
Anti Virus program = Kasperski Anti Virus 2018
Vid card drivers = Detonator latest version
Soundcard drivers = latest version
Internet explorer version = 10 with all the latest patches
Mail program used = Outlook ( Office 2010)

I am playing the game via Steam, and it has been updated to the latest 1.5 version.

I can send you a savegame and some extra information if you tell me where to send it.

If you want it back now you can console command it back using the “cheat” mod
type exactly w/o the braces: [cheat_add_item id:ui_nm_sword_expensive]
you can then remove the mod if ya want.

Well :slight_smile: this is not exactly getting my ST George sword back nou is it? This is spawning a new ST George sword to my inventory right?

I dont mind using a mod / cheat or something but the risc with this is that one cant get achievements anymore and stuff like that. Do you know if using this mod and cheatline have any consequences??

I have read that it is possible to buy a ST George Sword @ Sassau.

Uhhhh. my long list of achievements list on GOG doesn’t think so.

Besides if you use just once to get a replacement then remove it, so what?

Ok, well I have tried to add the sword with the line you told me but I am getting the following error in RED
[ERROR] ITEM [ui_nm_sword_expensive] not found

Is the line that you gave me correct? or should it be an other item id?

EDIT: Mia Culpa! I left out the word long.
So: cheat_add_item id:ui_nm_long_sword_expensive.
will yield St. Georges sword
The mod has examples to follow for the commands
cheat_find_items token:[name or partial of what you are looking for]
Note: some will not have their game name . so search by type i.e.: potion
Example: Cheat_stash If you have a stash chest(s) you can have access to it anywhere. Be advised that the NPCs will treat that as an intruder so do it in out of the way of npc traffic places.
