Star Citzen funds

Star Citzen have ingame goodies for backers. There are 1 Million backers with 93 Million USD. The average backer payd ca. 93 USD. They offer upgrades like better ships.

KC:D have 2,5 M USD with 49800 Backers. The avergae is 50 USD. I would not say that the Star CItzen backers are more fanatic than the KC:D backers.

If Warhorse offer Special Ingame stuff like weapon, amour, horses, houses, dogs, extra quest they would not have 2,5 Million USD with 49000 backers, I guess they would have 5 Million USD.

But as Kingdom Come is single player game special ingame stuff for only specific player creates basically defective by design game, that has some parts of it blocked. Such approach encourages piracy as pirated versions don’t miss any part of game.
The Star Citizen approach makes some sense only because it is inherently multiplayer game.

That sounds logically, but I tought there are modern techniques which make pirated versions impossible.

Ha that would be great, Pirating will never end hackers and crackers are always one step ahead of the game.

Speaking from experience?

Well I could speak from experience, as it is only few years since I can actually afford games… paying my debt now by crowdfunding almost everything I can
And from my experience, DRM protection never really bothered me at all, quite contrary, it was usually more comfortable to run pirated version

You are lame…

There is no such thing that makes pirated version “impossible”. In fact, there will always be pirates!

The game developers should make a game that people like and enjoy, so they might buy it out of thankfulness. CD Project Red (Witcher) does this all the time and they are successful. This is the only proper way to sell a game, not some nonsense DRM defense which put off only real customers, not pirates.

Star Citizen is a joke, 2 years ago my buddy told me about this game. Wasn’t interested then, not interested now. He’s spent £100’s of pounds on spaceships he cannot even fly unless it’s in a bugged TDM arena which they released and spent 4 months trying to fix. But hey, at least he got a fish tank right?

Honestly, I do not want “special” treatment because I’ve opted to test this game in early alpha, I just want to contribute to the development and have a great game finished and playable upon release.

Asking for “extra” treats is pathetic and childish and you should not be particiapating in an alpha or beta for that matter.

Maybe it could increase piracy.

The idea is not only to give few players a special treatment who can afford this. The idea is also giving the devs more money which can be invest for a better game at the final release. Anyone could benefit..
I dont ask for special treat, you have to learn reading. I compare star citzens funding with KC:D funding. Its very economic and maybe its more pathetic and childish to despise the option that sombody receive “better treats” .
So your opinion is that only old expierenced and wonderful people should got the right to fund and play this game? Its so nice that people with such curious opinions dont make the important decisions in this world.

You mean like battlefield premium? No, NOT going to happen!!!
Its too bad battlefield has gone downhill since bad company 2 :’(

I’m sorry, but you are the one sounding like a child in this matter. Instead of having a proper discussion, you burst out into insult.

No Sir see at just cause 3 they used Denuvo and was for at least 4 month not copyable(dont no the current status). The idea from Arminus makes sense. Copy Protectives will be better and better. Ingame Goodies could be much extra money for WH see Star Citzen funds.
