Steam Preloading

Not sure if this belongs in hardware but if not, please feel free to move it!

I’ve been following the game for a long time, I only came across it after the campaign had ended so when the preorders opened on steam I quickly jumped at the opportunity and booked myself a copy.

The question from my side is if / when will Preloading be available for steam preorders? I ask this because my connection is sadly not the fastest and in my case the earlier the preloading begins, the better chance I have of playing the game on launch week (I doubt launch day will be possible anyway).

Just wanted to ask as I didn’t see this anywhere.

Ah I don’t know why my search missed that! Thanks. I see there’s no fixed date still, hopefully atleast 24-48 hours before release.

Slightly OT but now people have Steam keys that come with the physical versions in their profiles, can the data from the disks be installed?. I don’t have my DVD’s yet (no idea when I will) but I have added my code to Steam… so, just wondering if the disks turn up tomorrow, can I install it?.. I know it won’t be playable.

No, you cant install the game. Game is still locked and cant be installed.

Ok thanks… a shame, as it would help spread the load and also save time on the day it goes live. I’m sure I’ve installed boxed copies on Steam in advance in the past, but its been awhile.

Do the boxes come with a different installation code to the one in our profile?

Fucking ass, i clicked on steam so fast my mouse almost flew off my desk. That’s the second time you’ve tricked me in regards to KC:D related releases.

Clock appears broken. Stated time of release is 0900 Czech Republic time. That’s 2100 NZ time but my clock saying 16 hours to go, which is clearly wrong, as 0900 is 26 hours away here. SO don’t trust the clock and trust the 0900 release with a pinch of salt too. Ive been stung with thst one before too. lol.

This issue is being looked into by the team. Hopefully it will be fixed soon so that people do not get confused. Fow now I would put more faith in the time explicitly stated by the devs.
