STEAM: your account has not license for this game

Hi.
Recently i bought game Kingdom Come Deliverance(from the steam not any other shops). After instalation i always got this error:

“Your steam account has not license for this game”…

But, thats not true. In my account in license list, its showing license for kingdom come… I tried to run game as Administrator, reinstall the game, turn off antivirus/firewall, and even i refund a game and bought it again(to try if license doesnt “update”)… Nothing helped. I contacted steam support and warhorse suppport, but they dont helped me. Does anyone have this issue? How to solve it? Thanks.

I added the error screenshoots, hope someone will help me.

Hi @Ojin if bought the game recently please get in touch with Steam Support.

@GreaterHater How Long did you played the game without any issue?

39 hours in so far. trying reinstall now and updating all drivers, etc.

I’m unsure what causes this issue. But it can’t be wrong to write to Steam Support too.
If they can’t help you please come back here and let us know…

I did find a thread that suggests this may be caused by your antivirus or firewall, so you may be able to resolve it by adding the game to their list of exceptions.

If you are still seeing this error you’ll want to reach out to Kingdom Come: Deliverance for further support. You can reach them using the information from the Official Support section here.

Regarding your question about buying this game while on vacation: Your Steam Store Country is still set to the Czech Republic, so the version that you purchased is the Czech version. The version you have is playable in Thailand as well.

So i contacted kdc support, but they told me only to turn of antivirus(didnt help)…
If you have some news about this issue please write it here. For me it feel weird when i have to play game from pirate bay, when i have it on Steam…

So, I uninstalled the game and updated Steam then re-installed the game and now I am able to play without issue. not sure what exactly the fix was, but I am assuming it had something to with updating Steam, as I had been running the Steam client for a few days without letting it update. I’m definitely not having issues with firewall or antivirus, however.

so i tried to reinstall the Steam and the Game again. Didnt help. As I already said i played the game from pirate bay because that version work for me… I tried to replace files in

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\Bin\Win64

with files from piratebay. And guess what. It works… This fixed my issue and i can play this game legal at last.

Uhmm… I would not recomend anyone this workaround, though. You never know what you’ll get from piratebay

I had the same problem, tried everything written here with zero results. So I wrote to warhorse studio and they told me to start game via exe file and it works. Unfortunatly I did it after I reinstalled my game, so I have to start over.

Hey guys.
Since patch 1.4.2 there should be more information in “kcd.log” file when startiing the game regarding steam licence.

So if you are experiencing this problem, send us this file and we can investigate it.

I had problem once too game is probably connecting to Steam to validate the licence and trying to download Steam cloud saves and if this request not working for some reason you got such message, try it later… if is persistent validate steam install, try enable KCD in firewall, reinstall the game.
