I tried to play the game again after patch 1.4.3 on PS4 Pro. The thing I realy hate is to wash yourself so many times just to look not dirty.
I was hoping in patch 1.4.3 that this was fixed but it is still the same.
I understand that you need to wash yourself after doing certain actions like swimming but this is not the case. I just walk around and I look dirty in like 2 hours of in game time (like 10 to 20 minutes of walking around in town).
I kind of find it annoying too, but it’s not game breaking or a major annoyance so I don’t see this being a priority.
I already knew that I find it more anoying then most people do. Talking to nobles that look al clean and then Henry shows up like a hobo. Even beggars on the street look better then me. Hope it will get fixed in the future.
Me too man. I do understand the frustration.
Try this mod:
I don’t know that you need a mod. Just be careful where you walk/ride. Avoid the puddles, and take a quick scrub-up in a fresh trough.
With everything else going on in the game, I doubt that the Devs are looking too closely at the cleanliness algorithm. Besides, I think this was modified in an earlier patch.
I am playing on a PS4 Pro, so it won’t be any use to me.
Well I actualy tought the same thing, watching out for puddles and staring at the ground everytime I walk (the great joy of that) but it did not help. Taking a quick wash won’t help because you can only quick wash yourself when you are already dirty enough to do it and it won’t clean my looks.
You need to go to the bathhouse every time. This is a good example when realism get’s in the way of fun.
Lets say you are in a mission to visit the charcoal makers in the woods you have to walk many kilometers in game to get to them while you walk through the dirty forest, when you finally meet them you are so dirty that you will loose charisma and can’t get information from him ? That game mechanic sounds good on paper put in practice it’s more annoying then “immersive”.
Yes true, realism is not always a good thing. It would be much better if we just had to wash our selves like once a day. Like 24 hours in game time. The next day the dirt will show up. Unless you swim or when you get knocked on the ground (like knocking of horse).
Walking in forests might make your boots dirty but not your body, thats crazy.
Agree but not sure the dirty algorithm is realism. Walk around town and voila long Skalitz waffenrock looks like a sweaty mess
Yes I am not sure if it is suppose to work like that. I hope it gets fixed with the next update because for me the immersion is a big deal in this game.
