I dont get the OPâs gripe. Humans and all other (real) creatures with eyes live their entire life in 1st person view. So, in regards to KCD, what is it about this that you really dislike? Youâre certainly used to viewing the world this way, since you do it every day.
I understand that in games some players may desire a view that is contrary to their inherent nature. Games let us do things we cant do IRL. Personally, Iâm mostly fine with KCD being 1st person only, it makes it more realistic and immersive. On the other hand, i do prefer 3rd person in some games, but it depends on the title.

Honestly I donât like third person view at all, I havenât played the witcher 3 in ages solely because there is no first person view.
Same sort of argument, why didnt they make first person view an option? A lot of people like first person.
That is trueâŠ, Witcher 3 fautl not respecting people needs. They force you to play in an specific way.
I use 3rd person mod to play KCD and honestly I have to say that I put the camemera usually 20 meters away to hava a panoramic view, and the game is completely diferent. The problem is that it is a pain to control the caracter movement (devs know perfectly why), and the result is a good game that canât be played with 3rd person because it is soooooooo unconfortable that I prefer not to play.
KCD is a great game that fits a lot of points that interest me, but I canât play this way.
Combat is another thing I would change. And the face and voice of Henry (I canât stand the expresion and particulary the eyesâŠ, I never thought that the aspect of a character could be so imporntat). That is why it is importan to customize several things when creating the character. Rest of the body is good enough from 3rd person view.
