Hi,
Almost at the beggining of the game a stole a piece of clothing worth around 1200 groschen in Rattay (merchant Hagen’s house). I stored the item in my safe trunk for a few days, checked a couple of times if the stolen flag had disappeared, but it hadn’t.
Tired of waiting for so long, I took the item and put it on and now I’ve been wearing it for many, many in-game days, but the stolen flag is still there.
Has anyone encountered such… inconvenience? Any other item seems to work properly, of course depending on the item’s general price, but it seems to me that the one I described got bugged or something.
I have had the St. George’s Sword, stolen from Capon during the bath house quest, for weeks (in game time) and it still shows stolen. All his clothes lost the tag a long time ago, but the sword keeps it no matter what.
What is really weird is, I got the other St. George’s Sword from the treasure chest, and put it in my personal chest, with the stolen one, to see what would happen. It stacked them, and now it says take instead of steal, but if I take them both, and equip one, the stolen tag is gone from the Capon one. I know which one I took off Lord Capon because it is at 99 on condition, and the other is 100. If I put Capon’s back in my chest, it goes back to stolen, until I put the other one in. If I have just Capon’s in my inventory, it is stolen until I put the other one in my inventory too, then it loses the tag again lol.
Have you tried to sell the sword to the millers and bought it back again? Just to test…
