Suddendly very long loading times [PC]

Okay so i have 65 hours in the game and evrything went smoothly up until now.
I’m currently doing the “A needle in the Haystack” quest in the monastery and all of a sudden loading times are super long.
I went from 10 seconds when i launch a save and 2-3 sec before dialog to 30 sec when i launch a save and 20 sec before dialog.
My game in installed on a SSD drive and as i said i had no issues with loading times up until now.
No mods, no Shenanigans installed either.

Is there a fix ? (i googled and found similar older topics but no fix)

I think I quit and ran smart dfrag when I encountered this… Too many beers to remember exactly.

It happend to me yesterday at c 45 h of gaming + i can’t save n can’t use beds/sit.

I tend to go to the load menu now and again and delete all but the top three saves. Somehow doubt that will solve your issue, though. Others in here have had the same problem. Maybe one of them found a sollution. good luck.

Thank you for the answer i will try to defrag and it is true that my savelog is full so i’ll try make up some space around there and i will report back

Nope, did all the above, still super long loading times.
First world problems i know, but it makes the game unplayable for me… Here’s to hoping someone has a fix or this is getting patched

I have the exact same problem but on PS4, same story did the needle in the haystack an now anything I do rolls me thru a five min load screen, even washing my face takes forever it’s unbearable. Trying to clear my quest log but not sure that will help

I encountered the same problem yesterday (97h played so far :), and having the time of my life btw…), and i couldnt do anything to fix it other than load a previous save that didnt seem to be corrupted with the long loading times. So i’d suggest going back to previous save, I hope you have one at hand that doesnt lose a lot of progress, and play it from there. Hope it helps

I was hoping i didn’t have to come to that since the genius that i am pretty much overwrites his saves… :<

Im on PS4 Pro, I never had the loading screen when just talking to a trader etc… But now I get them, ANd the rendering is getting worse

So on Xbox I’ve found that loading a save that was made in the monastery or the area near where you find esther results in long loading times for dialogues. the solution for me was to go back to an earlier save.
