Sword and buckler combat for low/medium-life labourer

Hi,

In this topic I would like to address if the style of sword and buckler will be thought of be implemented in the game? This style was mostly traditionally used with low/medium-life labourers as the small sword and buckler could be hidden from the guards easily and was used for fast and small skirmishes along town or inside taverns.

A good reference is the 1.33: Tower fechtbuch (well, is THE written reference of the style). Despite the contents are a bit confusing, there are several medieval fencing practitioners reconstructing the style and with some insight on the movements.

Some examples:

I am in favor but I think it might not be included in act 1.

This post was mainly to throw it to the light in case it can generate a little bit of interest

If is at least contemplated through the stuff to add, that would be enough ^^

I think they have already done that. I assume they go down a list based on popularity and Sword and buckler is probably in the top 5.

Yes I checked but I wanted to make sure that buckler is not misunderstood. It was a shield but for this kind of combat, it was used to protect the hands and to close the line between the opponent sword and your body (making some sort of cone). Check the videos in detail and you will see a nice and nifty movement about this :D.

P.D: I think now the videos work, I think you may enjoy them

They worked but not anymore right now.

Fixed. I’m getting used to this interactive system :stuck_out_tongue:
