Sword question

I just watched the new vid of the Metatron about swords breaking in combat.

So my question is: will swords break in the game?

BTW I think WH should contact the Metatron. He is a wonderful youtuber with loads of subscribers that are interested in medieval weapons, armor, history and games about the period.
He actually already posted a vid about KC:D calling it the perfect game possibly.

I know Metatron and I like his videos. We are already in contact with him. Not on a daily basis, but sometimes we exchange a few words. And it is not just that Metatron speaks about Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Kingdom Come: Deliverance also speaks about Metatron:

About the breaking swords. Cool idea, but swords will not break in the game.

Their condition does degrade with use and abuse though. The full range of interactions isn’t included and balanced in the beta, but I have seen visible changes to the blade as I used it and it’s condition dropped. (it didn’t seem to have any impact on damage/penetration or other aspects of weapon usage at all).

Finding an ‘unsupervised’ sharpening wheel and working for a short while I brought the condition and visual appearance back to the pristine blade. (Unsupervised is helpful in beta because npc get twitchy about drawn blades, even in contexts where they should be okay - not having npc nearby eliminates this potential crime).

Interesting insight

Hopefully in the release version, if you’re ‘known’ and have a good reputation, this mitigates the problem
