This game really needs a conventional save system. I’m tired of doing the same things over and over and losing hours of game that i already played. Just recently, the sword trainer froze up with his arms locked up in position and there was no option to surrender or quit and no menus would pull up. the only thing i could do was reload my last save, which of course was 2 hours ago. guys, a real save system is a must for a game like this, especially one with so many time wasting bugs.
Not happened to me once in 1400hrs. Do you have mods?

WH said they worked hard on bug fixes at the cost of DLC content. Hopefully next patch your game will work as you could expect it to do.
Yeah, I mean, I waited until recently to buy the game so it wouldn’t be so buggy like it was upon release. I’m more than willing to fit through some bugs for this game, I just don’t think the stingy saving in this game does it ANY favors…at all.

This happened to me yesterday as well. Vanilla 1.6 game, no mods.
I had unlocked the head cracker perk and once the training session began for longsword, the trainer was locked in position as described by the OP. There were no options available (G or Quit) so I had to hard quit the game losing about 2 hours of progress.
Happened to me as well, but I just saved the game after and then restarted the game then he wasn’t frozen anymore.
That said I believe that this might have ruined my ability to do combos with shortsword + shield, because I can’t do them anymore. Meanwhile all the combos still perfectly with the longsword.
Quite frustrating to say the least.
Happened to me. You’re talking about bernard, right? The trainer in rattay that pledges to train you after you become sir radzigs squire? I was trying to learn all of the master strikes from each weapon and when I got to the last one, I believe it was blunt, the training started and he just stood there without doing anything and I could hit him constantly without him doing anything and I couldn’t jump over the fence to exit or surrender.
This was a while back when I started a new game on 1.6 around june when the update was fresh. I sent in a ticket a long time ago…
