What is the meaning of the symbol in the lower right corner of my screen in this screenshot? It appears on even the game menu screen when I startup the game.
Looks like an movie/video editor symbol/icon? Maybe you’re running some record programs in background or programs with such features?
Does Game DVR for XBox do that? I don’t think I started it, but I’ll check. Thanks!
idk exactly about xb1 but i read on google that it is an upload studio too, so i will think yes, if you enabled it?^^ Hope it will solve your annoying icon
I have the same thing, and I’m on PC. It’s for posting game play vids, however, I assumed it was recording software from my Gforce Experience (Nvidia). Thing is, I can’t get rid of it either.
Ah, I didn’t think of GeForce Experience. I’ll check that. Game DVR doesn’t seem to be causing it, or at least turning Game DVR off doesn’t remove it. Thank you for mentioning FeForce!
Yes! I got rid of the symbol. It was GeForce Experience. I started up GeForce Experience, clicked on the “Settings” icon (looks like a gear on top right of your GeForce Experience window). Then under the section titled “In-Game Overlay”, click to turn off the In-Game Overlay slider. If you use NVidia GeForce Experience to record your gameplay, you can either click on the settings in the In-Game Overlay section and turn off the HUD Overlay for the Status Indicator by setting it to Off, or choose an onscreen layout that is more appealing to you.
My NVidia GeForce recently updated and this was apparently a new feature I was not aware of. I just turned off the Status Indicator for the HUD Layout and will re-enable if I ever decide to use this feature.
