Talmberg CLOSED GATES

Dears,

The Talmberg gates are closed for me. ALWAYS. There’s no way for me to enter Talmberg, and off course I got quest to do there.

Note that in one of the first quest, when you need to escape Talmberg, I jumped of the bridge.

There are several others impacted by this, and today I read that there’s a main quest there at some point. Honestly I am planning to stop playing until this is fixed. I don’t want to stop quests each time they request me to go to Talmberg.

@ Warhorse: could you please at least acknowledge this bug, something I didn’t see yet on Reddit or here.

Hi, same happened to me. Did you started with the original game or with 1.2?

I had to start the game all over again, but it did not take long.

Well if I remember correctly, I indeed started to play while the day 1 patch was downloading. No idea however if I left Talmberg before applying the update.

Would that be the issue? I really don’t want to start over, as I have several tens of hours already played.
I wonder: in a normal situation, is that gate ever closed after that first mission there? If not, they should patch it for us to make it open as well.

I walked through the gate and it stayed open for me ever since

i have the same bug and not even the NPCs can open the gate. there are 3 guards walking 24/7 against that gate.

I Had the same problem, I followed the quest and got the guards armour to leave Talmberg I spoke to the gate guard who said he would open the gate. He never moved and the gate stayed forever closed. I had to end up jumping off the bridge and this also caused problems with a main story quest later on.

Yes, very same situation, started at day 1 while patch was downloading, jumped out of the bridge, gates closed forever. Not possible to talk with anyone.

I can’t tell if the bug is related to the 2 different version of the game conflicting or to the fact you have to make the guard open the gate for you. Unfortunately you have to start the game all over again. Good thing is it will take not more then 45/60 min to do it all, just skip the videos :wink:

Yes but I continued to play, I have 30 to 40 hours playtime already …

If you break the law by fighting a guard or stealing you can get sent to jail inside the town which should fix the problem. Im not sure how you can progress past the intro of the game without Talmberg being open. I really hope people havent been spending hours playing the intro of the game, dear or dear.

as Doctorsparky said, some guards should be walking right outside the gates, punch them and go to jail. Let us know what happen after please

I’ve the same problem. I’ve try to wear the talmberg Armour but nothing happened, the same happen when i try to get in jail. I’ve the Patch 1.3,
