I have the most peculiar glitch. A Talmberg guard follows me everywhere. When he’s close to me I cannot interact with people i.e. talk to them. If I open my chest or character menu it closes again. If I’m able to lose the guard for long enough then I am able to play normally.
Forgot to mention I’m playing in PS4
I had to start completely over because this bug was so debilitating. From what i can tell, the guard is trying to arrest you, but instead of actovating the dialogue where you can bribe/go to jail he just follows you. Therefore no one is talking to you because you’re being “chased” by a guard, which is by design i beleive, but not activating the dialogue causes all those issues.
Like you said, only way to continue is to run or gallop away from him and try to get through the spoken parts of a quest before he shows back up. I love this game so much and it upsets me that the developers have to rush to fix all these bugs.
Can you not just end him? Like take him out of the towns and into the woods or something and be done with him?
strange…can you just kill him? in this way you can take some piecce of armor, transfer to your horse and then go to jail …
When i lured him away from town and killed him i was fine until going back to talmberg where he was replaced bt another guard following me. (Maybe the same one respawned? Im not exactly sure) It seems there is no way around it
This is no bug. This is your personal bodyguard (who is also in love with Henry). If he gets killed he respawns just because he loves you so much.
Just kidding, I heard of this bug and the only solution I heard of was restarting the game. 
I get the feeling that this game was not very well tested…
I also went to jail several times in Talmberg trying to maybe fix it that way (aggroing other guards i could interact with then surrendering) but either the guard was there when i came out of jail or found me later
Since my original post I have discovered that I can attempt to pickpocket him. Which results in him starting a fight with me, so I surrender, he disappears long enough for me to have a conversation with someone. But a soldier soon comes back & I’m back to square 1.
It hasn’t made it impossible to play. He does randomly turn up at other towns even the mill.
Also I went hunting Cumans on the Raiders mission, after I’d killed them he turned up & started attacking me with his axe.
