Thank You Warhorse (minor spoiler)

I’ve been playing RPG’s for 30+ years, all the way back to the good old taple-top era of D&D. I heard about this title a while ago and thought it to be quite the ambitious endeavor in game development. I just had my first opportunity to try out the game last night and I must say I am thoroughly impressed.

Playing all the way through the first major encounter in Skalitz after the burial (trying to not be too spoilery here) just to see everything I had just done was all the tutorial was AWESOME.

I think it’s one of the best lead ins to the beginning of an epic adventure in a game i’ve ever experienced.

Genuinely, thank you Warhorse - i’m quite excited to continue Henry’s adventure and am very impressed with this game so far. It blows away a lot of the AAA development i’ve seen for this genre in the last decade.

I’ve read a lot of negativity around the “difficulty factor”, such as lockpicking and combat and honestly, please do not make it easier. Fix bugs/glitches of course, but the difficulty so far is SO refreshing. I love that I actually feel like I have to improve and not just mash buttons. I love that I have to figure out how to complete quests and not just follow a marker.

This game is already looking to be my new favorite RPG.

Just wait until you realize that every single side quest is different from one another and the variety in them is probably one of the greatest in RPG’s I’ve seen yet.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind if they lower the difficulty, but I would do it this way: Make an option to lower difficulty, but the game starts for new players in the harder one (current players also start with higher one), so that who wants can lower it by himself. Would be nice if the game punished you a bit in a way for the lower difficulty though.

I hope they fix the bugs ASAP, especially save game related. (One of my saves was corrupted, I might know why, but it’s a bold assumption… lost 90m roughly because of that, oh well :frowning: )
I would say that FallOut 4 had buggier release so the hate on this is a tiny bit undeserved (I’m really glad they did not delay the release anymore, some people have been waiting for this game for a long long time)

Being almost 50 hours in, the has drawn me in probably more, than Witcher 3 - mainly because sidequests feel so good, they compliment the main story pretty well IMHO.

I really with the development does not stop here and I hope this game is deservedly recognized as one of the best single player RPG’s in a long time.
