Ok i know that the third person camera is a hot topic and yea i wish the game was going to have one, but if for whatever reason we must have only the one first person view then please give the option to turn off all the camera swaying. Every action seems to send the camera crazy and within 5 mins i feel sick to the stomach, i love the game consept and was happy to buy it but its unplayable when the camera swings around so much.

Blur should go turn off.
Blur is off, its not the blur its the camera motion it swings about, everything you do get on your horse camera swings down then up blocking getting hit all make the camera move around, motion sickness in first person games is very common and this game seems to be very bad for it.
No idea what that pic has to do with anything sorry.
I had this bad feeling in Half Life 2. I can not help you further.

I would guess it has to to with the frame rate strobing at a specific frequency, strobe lights can generate seizure like responses in certain people. I’ve had this type of response in certain conditions with different games over the years as well
I would not suggest playing through it, but rather change something that will noticeably affects the framerate to see if that changes your response… maybe even wait until the final version is out which should have a substantially better framerate.
It make me sick too, after half an hour or so. Just this game, no other FPS or similar game. I was advised to increase fov (by opening console by ~ and then typing command “cl_fov = 70” or even more). It made it a bit better, but still not good. I am almost sure that it is due to swingy motion of camera during any type of movement. Best is running on horse’s fastest speed (galloping? don’t know the correct word), which swings the least.
Maybe it is because of the realistic environment!?
When I play this game I feel something different as well, but nothing bad.
My brain is not used with an environment so … “picture realistic”. When I was playing I would stop sometimes and realised that nothing was really real…is just a game…
I think it will fuck with many people’s brain, Like vr does.
It may be, but I don’t think it’s the reason. For example turning around with view without walking is OK, and running on horse in full speed is also not that bad.
Its defo the camera swaying motion, I’ve had it in other games that had head bobbing and camera movement, it may be realistic but this kind of movement in first person is a common reason for making people feel sick, one of the main reasons i usually only play in third person is because it doesn’t seem to have this effect.
