The combat is too freaking hardcore

i’m sick tired of hearing this, especially from people who haven’t even tried Kingdom Come. the game aims to be realistic. no one will wait for you forever to complete a quest and the combat aims to be as realistic as possible. Finally, after years of casual gaming we see something new, refreshing, and people can’t wait a secont before starting criticize it, because they want a more casual experience. stop doing that people, you don’t like the realistic (ish) combat or the basic needs? DON’T PLAY IT! as simple as that, there are other games for you out there, but stop criticizing developers who want to create something new.
P.s. btw, this game is not hardcore, stop using this word for define every single game that IS just a little bit too difficult than your average rpg .

Lol, calm down. You’re 2 years late with this thread. There’s no one on forums, that are against this combat. You need to go in steam. There are lots of people, who are against.

Totally agree against the criticism part! As said here, combat is AWESOME! Besides I think it must be really hard to make a game as realistic as this. But bear this, the more realistic and complex this gets, the more people complain:(

Practice makes perfect! Just like learning how to ride a bike or drive a car, with practice, we will get better at sword fighting. In big battles, you can always hide in the bushes and shoot your arrows, while the rest of the members of your team, do all the heavy fighting. There will be many ways to complete your tasks, that’s why you are given choices in the game. Try it out first, before complaining too much about it. I’m sure that once you start playing, you will be glad that you did.

This is for anyone reading this thread and not directed at the OP nor anyone else that has posted above me.

I’m so excited about the combat system for this game. Actually engaging in realistic sword fights it’s going to be epic. Battling a heavy armoured knight looking for that opening in his defence and armour.

Not having a crosshair for the bow is going to be brilliant.

I’ve been following this game for years and can’t wait for it.

I agree with the title. Combat is very clunky and much too complicated. Stop catering to the realism snobs and make this a fun game.

Fresh bump. :grinning:

UPD: @Bylandt nice sarcasm.

No sarcasm. I’m a backer. I would like the game to succeed.

The combat is fine. There’s nothing hard in it. Just spend a few hours to understand it and you’re a winner.

Swordfighting isnt that hard. You need train SF ingame and your fingerskills in real. Henry is only a son of a blacksmith and not a son of zorro.

“A few hours” excede the time limits on steam for a refund.

Is it the problem of developers? I don’t think so. They made a great system and mechanics. You can’t go to Ferrari and say:

-Your car is too fast for me, can you make it a bit slower car, but the same looking, pls.

You need to train yourself to be a better fighter. If you want to kill everyone with ease from one blow - Skyrim, The Witcher are your games. :grinning:

If it will sink the game, of course it’s the problem of the developers. I can go to Ferrari and say: why do need read a 1000 page manual and follow special driving courses before I can steer your new Ferrari Kingdom come?

I got your position. They won’t change anything. You can rest and watch, how others are playing. :relieved:
