The ending?

So whats with the ending?
I have heard about the 3 acts thing, But i wanna know if the game has a sequel with the rest of the story Or Its dlc?

Seeing as to how the main story objective is still active and not finished, it’s almost certain that the story will go on in this game. As for it being in the form of a DLC or not, i don’t know but being a part of the core game, you shouldn’t have to pay more money to access it.

I totally agree. I just find it a little odd that it just ends there?

I’d have done the same in their shoes. More content means more potential bugs you’d have to go about fixing and they have enough of those already. It’s safe to assume they’ll pick up where the story left off once they get the current content whipped into shape and riding off with Hans won’t actually be the end of the storyline.

Now i’m wondering if everything I do after the story ends is going to impact the next act. Like murdering…and looting and getting all my skills up.

They willingly released an unpolished version with crippled content so to skip extra work but price it as if this extra work has been done? And when they will finally do this extra work, we will be charged more? That’s what I can make out by what you write and that’s not different from what EA does with overpricing products (except less bugs) and with Mass effect, or what happened with no man’s sky. Still they are the bad guys and WH is being hand slapped. Also it could be good for people to have a screen/title hint if they get an episodic game, a full game or an early access.

I don’t know about their commercial practice strategies but i don’t think the folks at WH are some evil people conspiring to rob us of our money and hopefully they won’t charge us for the rest of the story. Which they shouldn’t to be fair.

I’m I the only person that did not have crippled content? I played the game to the end and had some minor bugs, but every game nowadays has bugs. Someone earlier said I was blessed for playing the game without any serious flaws. I guess I really am blessed. It’s unfortunate that some people did not have a perfect game, but my game was pretty awesome and memorable. Thanks WH.

they stated very clearly that this game was going to have 3 acts. they actually combined the first two acts. so the people complaining that it just ends abruptly didn’t do their research and didn’t pay attention. now they want to blame the devs again for their own unfounded entitlement. also, the game is a complete game, whether it ends on a cliffhanger or not. hell, many games don’t even have a story. having a concrete start and ending is not the sign of whether a game is complete or not. if you want a complete story, go buy a book.

You don’t have to be an evil money grabber to proceed in bad decisions to secure an amount of money to keep existing. All I’m saying is that I would love a more personal type of vlog from Vavra explaining that “guys, we run out of time and money and the guys above are pushing the things resulting in an upset. We don’t want to trick you but this is what you will get for the time being”. What “indie studios” have in their favor is the direct communication with their fan base. What they did, created an unnecessary bashing and fighting, against or in favor, of the game that makes the situation harder than it is. Love them for even trying to do kcd but what I’m OK with, has a 10 stories building distance from what is actually OK for the average person who might not being so much invested in their back story, their ideas and how hard it is to make it happen. People feel tricked if they get unfinished products that they are not in love with and the same time they tolerate other unfinished products just because they like it better.
