The Guild 2:Renaissance

Hey Guys,

I just wondered if there are some people here who played “The Guild 2”? I just recognized that Nordic Games is working on a new patch for “The Guild 2: Renaissance”! (http://forum.nordicgames.at/showthread.php?225527-The-Guild-2-Renaissance-Patch-4-20-Newsticker-CW48-2014)

This might also be interesting for those of you who want to play a game where you can become Emperor, own multiple houses and different businesses

I like the game. They are also working on the Guild 3.

I like the Guild generally but if Jowood is still involved I am suspicious.

Jowood is bankrupt since 2011 and was taken over by Nordic Games.

The patch looks very promising and I hope they are going to release it this year.

I liked the game, good to know that they are still patching it!

its €3,99 on steam till 2. dec if someone wants to buy it

Cute little game at the time, after the fiasco at Ascaron clearly bears the (female) handwriting of Kathleen K. (4Head-Studio’s) and was thrown unfortunately too early and unfinished on the market. Interesting approach, unfortunately, never developed further, it did back then liked to play - for 3.99 a clear buy…

By the way, had seen that there is just at Steam “Banished” for $ 7.58, who is not so in comic style is … great indie game!

While we are at it, here’s a tip for those who have played skyrim. It’s a total conversion in development. The release is planned for early 2015 - and sometimes good things are free.

Enderal - The Shards of Order

Loved The Guild games, mostly for their Multiplayer almost Coop play. Went back and played Renaissance and, wow, there’s a learning curve. Upon playing it I remembered what disappointed me the most about those games, the lack of space to expand into. The towns are inevitable surrounded by mountains, water, or forest to prevent expansion. Nonetheless, really creative unique games that have potential. IMHO I’m hoping Kingdom Come: Deliverance will allow some form of “professions” and “expansion” to play with, whatever that may entail.
