The problem with too long fingers

Well, i robbed alot of people in rattay yet, two of them was guards (i wanted their armor and tabards).

i met theese two guards at the gate of rattay, they wear underwear and their swords (i didn’t steal them) and i don’t like this! there is a lack of immersion now :wink: so i knocked them out and gave clothes back in their inventory, but they don’t wear it, they only carry them in their inventory. i tried to give them the exact clothes back they wear before, but they still only wear their underwear …

does anyone know how i can fix this? is there a way (maybe via console/cheat) i can give them their stuff back and they wear it? or do they respawn if i kill them ? - i wan’t them back looking as guards!

did you try to just lay the clothes in front of them?
Daniel Vavra mentioned that npc’s can pick up things

I bought a dress for Theresa and laid it on her bed, but she has yet to wear it.

well i tried laying stuff in front of them, but they ignore it.

have anyone a idea how i can solve this problem ?

I pickpocket a trader in Rattay while he slept. Robbed all his stuff from his home. Yes, of course I regret it and promise to never do it again. Anyway, next day he’s in his shop serving me in his underwear. Hillarious and also concerning. Dammit I thought, now I gotta look at this ugly mug’s undies for the rest of my days in Rattay. However, after a while - maybe a few day i dunno, he suddenly noticed that it wasn’t in fact a bad dream and decided to put something on again.

mh it was a few days ago when i robbed them. i read in a other thread that the trader inventory respawn after a while.

i hoped for a answere from the devs here, they should now how or when the guards take new equipment from the armory or something else.

What about her Uncle? Did he end up wearing it by chance?

The game don’t allow wearing dresses as a man :wink:

Any other ideas for my Immersion problem ? :slight_smile:

If I shall give you a tip, there might be a realistic way to do this personal quest. How about using a mod and disguise yourself as a woman first, then to invite theese two guards to the bath, playing dice games and make them drunk, then, once they will be sleeping, to dress them with their outfits and bring them to their guard post next day…complete immersion :innocent:

Maybe you need to find their stash and put the clothes in there?!

@Dughor Do they all have a chest? Guards sleep in Armor/Clothes, so i dont think they have something like this

Don’t know actualy.
Was just a guess, as Theresa etc. also have Chests where they put their clothes in over night.

Maybe in the armoury, but it is guarded at night. I am really sure that guards still wear their clothes when they sleep. Some guards seem to sleep in normal houses and beds, not all at the armoury or baracks.

I did the same in Talmberg before leaving the castle, and half of the guards are in their underwear unfortunatly. Only the weapon “respawn”. For exemple when you knock them, they will go to the armoury to pick new weapons but they never get new armor. I tried the same as OP, knocking them to put armor back in their inventory, dropping armor next to them, putting armor in the various chests in the guard towers but nothing worked. They stay in underwear with only their weapon on.
I did this on day one of release, now after dozens of hours in the game they stay in underwear, so unlike said for one merchant above, they never respawn their armor.

do you ever tried to kill them and check if they respawn ? i thought about it but not tried it yet, i am afraid of they don’t respawn and all is empty then …

i hacked into the chest and put it in there for her to find, but she is not wearing it. warhorse has created the most realistic romance mini game, where you have to buy her gifts and ply her with materials just like real relationships. none of that casanova fantasy
