Hans isnt spawning at dawn no matter what time his horse iant there either which on walkthroughs it is and then found his horse in middle of the town sqaure and still isnt spawning

You are on PS4? I guess you played before release and had savegames before patch?
I think the only solution is either wait for a patch (2 weeks) not sure if it will fix it
or start the game anew (with newest patch)
Yes indeed, ah damn that sucks!

yeah I know it sucks… but this time you know everything can even do better in some points so if you’re not too far in the game it may not be as bad… about 5h playtime

I am having the same issue. I bought the game digitally and only started playing yesterday on patch 1.2.
Fixed it. If anyone else has the issue I fixed it by going straight to the courtyard and waiting, don’t sleep. Something about sleeping killed the quest line

good as a temporary fix, but there will be a hotfix to this quest soon since this is not how its supposed to be
he stucks in the wood. i died and then he was running free again and that solved my problem.
