The problem here, with your statement, is that americans just dont think like you. And the British Empire kinda did this to us anyway. Do you want to know why our constitution gives us the right to bear arms? Because the empire that once was Britton, tried to take them away. Our country was built because people didn’t want their freedom to defend themselves taken away by the greedy tyrants who sat in their summer homes playing with peoples lives like chess(The King,The Queen). So I hope you can understand(you may already), that if our right to own firearms was taken away, the government wouldn’t be afraid to just take complete control, like the British tried to do, and we would be back to where we started before the Revolutionary war.
thats because we allowed you to bear arms for a specific reason , being we didnt have the troops to defend the colonies from the Indians so , gave you all a rife and turned you into one big militia . you didnt start the war because we were attempting to take your guns , you started it because your demands of being treated equal to an English citizen were rejected and we were taxing the shit out of you too pay for the wars around the world . while the british paid fairly low taxes.
we only attempted to limit the guns you had access to when things were getting spicy (1774)
a fair statement would be that was one of the final nails in the coffin that led to war but certainly wasnt a cause of the troubles .
the funny thing is tho you fought for independence to have freedom and lower taxes and in fact got no extra freedom and higher taxes to pay for a new nation

that was 1774 , we wanted to put restrictions on weapons you could import basically so you could only import weapons from britian , so we had control of the guns that were going into your hands plus it was more cash in the pocket for us instead of france or Spain or whoever else you would buy a rifle off

yes i do we had a civil war over the issue , the royals have no real power other than the reserve powers , they can offer there "advice " but thats all , however they do have the final word on any law being passed
You marched troops in to take our guns because we were in a “State of rebellion”. So you came in to take our guns. Plain and simple. also i shouldnt say you because you were in no way involved in this, just thought i should say that.

Yes but she cant do that can she? thats a self destructive move, because them having power and abusing it is what caused civil war in the first place, right? So she could easily just use parliament like a puppet, and she can get what she wants without seeming like a dictator. Now you have read the history, and you know that monarchies are not always bad. If shit goes wrong its the monarchs fault. the queen MAY BE a good monarch, and if she is running things under the table, she is doing it well, a lot like some of the russian monarchs back during the napoleonic era. She is doing things in the interest of the people, and not herself. She may she may not we cant know because she is very good at hiding it, if this is indeed the case. Obama on the other hand, Weeeeeelllllllllll, he isnt very discrete about it, and he is not doing things in the interest of the people.

that would generally be it . most people here love the queen , she is a harmless old lady that has the country at her heart , she certainly wouldnt be stripping us of any freedoms
