You rejected our first offer of peace key word peace we were not surrendering to you. Then after you rejected you came to us with an offer of peace a few months later. We did accomplish several objectives actually. Britain stopped pressing U.S sailors into service.The British invasion of the U.S failed. You got the Indians all fired up and gave them guns in hopes that they would do some serious damage against the U.S. But this failed miserably with Tecumseh being killed in battle and his army destroyed. The America navy won several huge victories at sea. The British Louisiana campaign was a bitter failure. Unless im mistaken the Royal Marines are considered one of Britians finest but they were destroyed by a much smaller force of “inferior” U.S Marines. Another failed attack on Fort Phillips sent the British with their tails between their legs out of Louisiana. Now lets take a look at Britians successful objectives. You repelled the American invasion of Canada and you burned down the white house.
Now for successful American objectives. Victory over the British in Louisiana multiple times. Victory over the indians who were allies of the British and supported by the British. In the end both sides agreed to a peace treaty. Both sides were weary of war and lost a simular amount of men. It was a draw plain and simple.
In American schools we are pretty much taught that our ancestors were worse than the Nazis and that we should all be ashamed of conquering the Indians but then its ok when other countries conquer places. We are taught that we are pretty much the only country that ever enslaved people and that we are a murderous evil country that should deserves to be destroyed. Sorry hate to break it to you the battle of Lexington and Concord started because 700 british troops were ordered to seize weapons and ammunition being held by the colonists there. Call it what ever you want but thats gun control. So the men living there not wanting to be stripped of their weapons opposed the British in Lexington. Someone shot we still dont know who it was and boom the revolutionary war started.

Yes that may have been the start of anger. But the first battle that started the Revolution was pretty much over the British trying to impose gun control.
