I don’t get your point? using the composure of the attacker does not say anything about the composure of the man who just got punched and hit his head on a an inanimate object.
My point is yourself and snejdarek have tried to play the whole it only takes one punch to kill scenario, which you can tell from the way Williams reacted to the hit that he was physically unaffected.
Also from the reports I have read they never mention his injuries (or any kind of future medical treatment), he was shakin and jarred from the adrenaline rush from just shooting a man.
Tell that to the detectives and other other experts who use body language to assess the situation.
I took a criminology class in high school. yes its true that body language can lie but there is a big difference between determining intention and determining reaction.
This is why many of your debates turn into flame fests. We have all the time in the world no need to rush comprehension or a rebuttal.
You can tell from the time stamps I usually take an average of 20 to 30 mins to respond, I thoroughly think through my response. (debating is the most fun and successful when played like chess)
From what I gathered fields(shirtless man) and the female in the group were both outside, they had a very obstructed view.
So from out side when Black punched Williams they could have easily perceived it as a fight breaking out (especially drunk and disorderly), we do know at this point fields wanted and had every intention of fighting.
If fields had any idea that there was a gun his stupidity increases ten fold when he rushed, his friends showed not a single sign of joining after they knew there was a gun (even when fields bum rushes him they do not attempt to assist or give him warning about the gun).
It could be argued that he knew about the gun. This could explain why Stevens (the man holding the door open) did not attempt to stop or warn fields about the gun.
Also the fact that he crouched low as to not be seen. this bit could also be argued that he was just trying to get the element of surprise. (surprise dumb ass Pistol in yo face)
Now to wrap this all up because honestly im bored with it now.
I still think Williams could have responded differently instead of reacting to fear and immediately going for his gun. I fully understand however his thought process and how he perceived the situation as life threatening.
However I also believe if he thought his life was in danger he should have emptied his clip.
I don’t know how it is in his state but in Oregon when you get your CC permit you take classes where they inform you that if taken to court (in many cases not all) that if you do not shoot to kill it can be argued against you that your life was not in danger and the situation could have been handled without the use of a firearm.
To me this is a prime example of a situation that would have benefited from a more thorough CC training program.

No you cannot tell. Did you ask him? A full on punch especially when you’re not expecting could be enough to knock you out. He’s very lucky he wasn’t.
I’ll ask you this question. The first time you saw this video did the man who punched him show any indication of it before hand? No he didn’t he was apologizing for his friends behavior and trying to shake someones hand would you expect to just deck the guy after that?

Most restaurants like that have windows every where. Its almost impossible to not see whats going on inside.
And all that could change in a minute of the defendant was knocked to the ground or pinned. There would be nothing stopping them from joining in after that.

Yeah but what about when everyones shooting near you couldn’t it be a bit hard to hear it then? Ive never really had experience with clips. Ive mostly just shot bolt actions and shot guns. Pistol shooting is something ive only done three times in my life so i’ll take your word for it.

I highly doubt that actually enforce that. Ive known plenty of people who have been in boy scouts and are atheists.
Regardless they’re a private organization and some what of a club so they’re allowed to set standards like that.

This proves my point. There are troops that don’t enforce this and they are allowed to exist.
