I honestly Have not looked into any potential candidates. I didn’t vote in the presidential election last year nor do I intend on doing so this year.
Presidents do not win based on popular vote, our voting system is a sham until we do away with electoral college I will not participate in presidential elections.
However I do vote for local an state office positions.

one of our parties (SNP) got 1.5 million votes and got 56 seats in parliament (out of about 600) and UKIP who got 4.5 million votes only got 1 yes one seat how is that right or fair at all .

Yeah Jesus preached non violence, peace, and love. Hitler preached violence, anti Semitism, and the idea that whites were the purest. One was hated by his people (the jews) another was loved by his people.
In addition Hitler was thrown in jail for rebellious actions against the government. Many of the jews in Jesus’s time wanted to over throw their Roman rulers. When Jesus didn’t want to go along with this they rejected him as the messiah and had him executed.

I was referring to the people who used the teachings of the bible to blind the ignorant masses of the population to further their agenda.
The church structure and many of their leaders are corrupt, not the doctrine (or those who follow its true teachings).

I was specifically referring to the early origins of the religion (you know the people that could not read and only knew what was taught to them through sermons that were dictated by the speaker) and those that used the divine word to corrupt the minds of the uneducated. The “early Church” would have been the 12 disciples who preached to the masses. Almost all of them were killed by the Romans so no i don’t believe they were out to further their own agenda.

Well the teachings of the bible were pretty much what the apostles and Jesus said. You also said early church which was a some what secretive following due to fear of persecution by the Romans.

The thing is I never said or suggested it.
The direct context was people in the early formation of the church used the doctrine to control people who did not know better.
This of course changed and became less prevalent as people were given direct access to the teachings instead of hearing via sermons (which did not always teach the true word of God but a filtered version to suite their agenda).

But you failed to mention the Romans or the Muslims who burned it as well. You’ve also defend Islam quite strongly before and generally people who defend Islam are very anti Christian. I have no problem if you are anti Christian. I firmly believe in freedom of expression and freedom of religion or lack of. I do not have an issue with atheists either. The majority of my friends are atheists.
