The †roll Cave ®™

Kids didn’t know whom to choose as a prom king. Kids decided it may be a good idea to find out who is the toughest. Kids shot up to 200 rounds of paintball into the finalists.

Does it happen often that NATO soldiers are under 7,62x39 mm fire tha comes from beyond effective range of their 5,56?

no not really . the taliban like to get as close as they can and also we dont only carry 5.56 . if its a foot patrol i would mainly be carrying an L115A3 which is a 8.59mm rifle which i could quite happily hit a target at 1600 metres plus in the right conditions . also we would then have a man carrying a maximi light machine gun which is still 5.56 however its effective to about 1000 metres in the right hands . occasinaly someone may be carrying a GPMG which is 7.62 but they’re a bit of a cunt to lag about so we would only be carrying it if we were expecting all hell to break loose .

that being said on my tours with the pathfinders we mainly operated in jackal trucks in groups of a minimum of 3 trucks although that number could be alot higher around 10 trucks in some operations maybe even more .

each truck has a .50 cal on top or a 40mm grenade launcher on top as well as a mounted GPMG in the commanders seat (front passenger seat ) as well as 3 javlin missile launchers in the back with a number of missles .

ohh and we also have the entire might of ISAF’s combined airpower on our side

so the answer to your question is we are very rarely out gunned . just on occassion you get engaged by a DShK which is a 12.7x10mm if you didnt know and normally there best man is on it so it gets very fucking interesting when they have you pinned down with one .

that normally calls for an appache or if possible the units marksmen (me for my unit ) to attempt to put the gunner down .

Supposedly he was helping break some constipation jams and the elephant crapped so much he suffocated.

Ironically ive been reading that these are actually worse for self defence than normal hollow points.
Any thoughts @snejdarek?

For some reason four or five coworkers sent me this/similar video on RIP when it was new… none of them have firearms  I guess must have been really popular on Czech facebook at the time.

Otherwise I very much doubt that this would get through car glass or even heavy leather jacket. On the other hand if it really has such penetrating capability then it would mean up to 10 fragments getting through the attacker and continuing in extremely wild directions, making it impossible for use in town or by law enforcement.

Needless to say RIP is illegal the same as hollow point for self defense in the Czech Republic, so I’ll stick to soft point ammunition.

I visited a gunshop in the morning that is about three minutes from my flat but which has the same opening hours as are my working hours which makes it normally impossible to go there and they offered me Fiocchi Black Mamba. I need to read up on those to see whether it makes sense to buy and carry them.

Yeah thats some of the biggest complaints ive seen about these rounds. They struggle with clothing a lot and many people just say to stick to normal hollow points. But they sure do look cool.

Why is that? I mean hollow points are safer due to the fact that they won’t go through someone and potentially hit a by stander or something like that.

Hm that sounds familiar im pretty sure ive seen and show those before with my fathers 9 mil. But i could be thinking of black talon.

leaner driver pulled out in front of a column of challenger 2’s in germany … wonder if she passed her test

best part of the article

They said the damage to her car was around 12,000 euros (£8,600).

There was no damage to the tank.

The law states that “higher wounding potential” ammunition is prohibited for self-defense use. I believe that it takes over from international war treaties where it is also banned.

I totally agree with you that the main concern should be over penetration not the extent of wound that the attacker may sustain. It is a common complaint of Czech gun owners.

And this one at 1:15 is just completely nuts.
