Short answer … Yes . alot jobless ex squaddies living on the streets . The issue is a lot join like me straight from school but have no prospects outside the army . So where we have had these cuts and many of been let go they have nothing else , no other skills .
The other short coming is dealing with PTSD. , a lot of soldiers returning from tour have it badly and they simply are not offered the correct help .
Most soldiers will get it at some point . I had a very brief spell of it after my first combat tour but for me i quickly got over it . But many don’t .
Here it seems its mainly due to our fucking government. Not to mention soldiers are practically spit on, by left wingers. It reminds me of Vietnam and the 60’s (ive studied it quite heavily) soldiers are blamed for a war that their government instigated, and not given the proper health care ect. Like the way the left says Chris Kyle as a murderer.
Here all the military adds say you will get free education, good insurance, and a pension fund how ever most vets don’t get what they were promised.
Around 1/4 of Czech law makers have CC license, some carry also within the parliament. I consider that as a very good check on any stupid gun control proposals.

Aren’t they for example sought for by law enforcement? I know that here municipal police and private security fight quite hard to get army vets into their ranks.

I get very few tornado’s where i live, they almost never touch the ground thank god. But the stupid builders of my house decided to give us 60 mile an hour proof shingles, even though winds can get up 100+ in my area, because i’m in a wind zone.
The result was every one in my Neighbourhood got free roof repairs.

Education is free here as well up until collage. Military is supposed to pay for that but instead illegals get free collage, gotta love that bullshit

Nope . The party I voted for were calling for this . Every ex-soldier to have a job available in the police , ambulance or fire service but to current government are not to bothered .

We have something similar . Called "community support officers " but they pay fuck all (about 15k per year ) and they are useless . Waste of money because they have no power to actually arrest you .
I think they are allowed to detain you (they wasn’t when they were set up ) then they just call for an actual police officer to come and take over .
Generally these guys are all proper anal and think they are above you and don’t know a lot about the law . So there are plenty of YouTube videos of them which normally result in the actual police turning up and concluding you have done nothing wrong and sending you off .

Oh ive done air soft. But i never actually went to a place and paid to do it. We just grabbed our guns and headed up to the mountains. We got the cops called several times, some people were freaking the fuck out thinking the guns were real, but the cops were always cool about it.
We get relatively lot of roberries with real looking airsoft guns. Also recently, there were four assholes playing GTA and doing drive-by-shootings in a small town. Some passer-by lost an eye, they are now facing ten years in prison.
The bastards were lucky they didn’t encounter a CCer. I guess that sending some lead back at them would send a stronger message to this kind of idiots than 10 years in prison.
There was an incident not far from my workplace few months back where some Russian mafia guy pulled air gun on some whom he perceived as walking too slow on the zebra. Needless to say he was in the back of a police car within 10 minutes and on a plane to Moscow most probably by the end of the week.

That was happening here all the time after the Uherský brod shooting. From what I’ve read the cops were cool and calm about it too. Which is surprising considering that most phonecalls were from very freacked out women calling about a mass murderers with guns running around and taking into account how much some cops like to play dirty Harry here (preferably shooting from a moving police car on evading vehicle).
That’s happened quite a few times over here. There was a big air soft gun scare because some fucking idiot teen decided to paint his tip black and aim it at cops. He was shot so the media of course were telling parent to get rid of their kids air soft guns. I remember my mother always made me wear “ear protection” because some idiot on the news said you could die if the BB went in your ear.
We got the cops called a quite a few times. I was target practising in a field and some ass hole came out of his house losing his shit. A few minutes later the police arrived, but they just told me to be careful.
makes me chuckle though that the USA has stricter laws on air soft guns that the UK here as long as you are a registered player you can buy fully metal and real looking and feeling airsoft guns . where as in the US you have to have an orange muzzle (many snap it off and put a black one on however i believe )
clearly if you was walking down the street with it in your hand you better be ready to be swarmed by police aiming rifles at you and screaming for you to get on the floor . majority of people have some common sense to put it in a bag however .
most kids here however are not registered players and simply have a coloured one out of the shop and never get any hassle apart from the police sometimes just telling them to find a more suitable area to mess about with them
