he has maintained that rebellious streak even now . his antics in Vegas was while he was in the army and that was world wide news (why i dont know ) .
but i think he has learnt as he has got older that he simply cant get away with much without it being splashed across the global media .
i think in the US you’re sold this hompus pompus bollocks about them and in classic us media fashion everything is dramatised . when in reality they’re far more down to earth and far more understanding of the struggles of living in the UK than the majority of our politicians (which is why they’re so loved here ) .
for example there was big to do about prince Charles writing letters to the government and giving his advice etc on partiular issues .
the media spent millions and years demanding these letter were made public at that they were a breach of his role etc etc . this year they were released by a court order .
he was writing about things that effected the everyday brit and things such as why our military was being sent to iraq poorly equipped . global warming and what we should be doing . and it was quite enjoyable watching every comment on these articles turn on the papers in his defence as it was quite clear he was a man that cared about the UK and about the world as a whole
