@TheDivineInfidel ive been doing some digging on U.S military training. For army the total training is 27 weeks total. So in reality British army training is really not longer than U.S training at all.
Where i live they always catch people in areas where the speed limit changes abruptly, and people have no time to slow down before they get nailed, it’s complete horse shit.
Good for you. Even though I’d never put that kind of money into a car. I’d rather buy a small plane.
Unless we talk something real old as both hobby and investment.
Not really
We had something similar - municipal police putting radars behind towns, but before the official end of city limit (i.e. when cars start speeding up). The courts started throwing these citations away, which ended this sort of police business.
And now for something completely different:
for a basic infantrymen training is 28 weeks yes but Royal Marines it’s 32 weeks and I did 32 weeks for the para’s (but I failed a few bits first time so was back tracked ) . To become an officer takes 44 weeks however . no matter the regiment . Then after some regiments make you do further Training specific to their role . For example in the para’s you have learn how to plan and command a jump etc
and what did you find for the U.S. ? I believe the marines is about 22 weeks total . 13 weeks basic then they do an infantry training course after that I believe which take it to about 21/22 weeks .
So no your marines are not far behind our basic infantry regiments US infantry traning lasts 14 weeks , basic and advanced total 14 weeks .
So let’s recap
US MARINES 22 weeks (ish ) - Royal Marines 32 weeks
Us infantry regiment 14 weeks - british infantry regiment 28 weeks .
So a british soldier serving in a regular infantry regiment is worth 2 of his American counterparts
But where you see the gap is our basic training . So for us .
No matter your role , chef , medic , helicopter pilot EVERYONE in the british army must complete phase 1 basic training which is 14 weeks .
Which is where the joke "a british chef is better trained than a US marine "
Comes from which is true in terms of basic traning but the marines then go a complete their advanced training.
Total U.S army training for infantry is 27 weeks, which is equal to Brit training. A U.S marines training is approximately 26 weeks long, yes that is shorter than Royal Marine training how ever there are over 400,000 U.S marines.
So really the training lengths with normal troops aren’t much different.
Now on to officer. You have to be in collage for four years, do the standard training, then you have 4 years at an officer school.
As for special forces, its very hard to find the actual training. Delta is completely classified, Ranger training is around 7 months, Navy seals ive read the total training length is around 1 and a half years.
I always thought it was odd that our training was so much shorter than yours, glad i was able to debunk that
Do you guys think Warrior Rose reads his own posts? Does he know just how cheesy he sounds?
Regards, Skoruligr (just in case you forgot who you were reading).
Hi,
Yep, he starts with hi, and then most of his sentences have exclamation marks at the end!
Regards, Sirwarriant.
While i got you here i need to hear your opinion on firearms.
I own some, I shoot them regularly, anyone sane and competent should also own them, and also shoot them regularly. Gun control is dumb, and made of fart.
P.S. “While i got you here”? I am always here, watching, lurking, waiting…
Well don’t be shy.
Do you have sources for this because I beg to differ .
As for the 4 years , I’m talking about initial training here .
this gets right on my tits every time I read his posts .

Click on the third sentence. Total training is 27 weeks basic and infantry training.
I suggest you go and read that again . I’ll give you Untill I get home to realise the fuck up you have made by adding the two traning programs together.
Top tip : read the 3rd row then apply that new found knowledge to the second row
lol i havent even watched the video and the guy on the front makes me luagh.
