We did not commit genocide on their population. The U.S government was only responsible for around 100,000 deaths, over the course of 100 years. Most of that was during the Indian wars.
The overwhelming majority, 99% of them died of disease. That could be considered mass man slaughter, but it was not intentional.
They AGREED to go on reservations, majority of the time. That land is pretty much theirs to do what they want with. Everyone always bitches about the trail of tears, but they always fail to mention that the Chiefs agreed to leave and go to reservations.
School my friend. (20chars)
No kidding, he’s a fucking psycho path. Remember when he murdered one of the twins
?
I like how dark and gritty it is. Like when they butchered the cannibals, then burned their bodies.
@ProkyBrambora @McWonderBeast @SirWarriant
There is actually one aspect of the Walking dead (and basically any post-apocalyptic movie/series shot by US directors) - and that is absolutely abysmal ability of the people to choose vehicles that would be fitting for the environment they are facing most of the time. Especially when there is ample choice of vehicles left all over the place.
Product placement. They make the big bucks off advertising those cars.
Notice how shiny it always remains, in the show.
The Tucson is actually one of the few I’d consider a sensible choice… as long as reliability of US-manufactured versions is higher than that of Czech-manufactured ones.
4WD - check
relatively low gas consumption - check
relatively safe - check
easy to prowl through walkers - fail
impossible for walkers to get in - check (I suppose the windows should hold)
roof window for emergency exit - ?
reliability - ?
At least judging by reports of Czech cops the reliability is not Tucson’s strong point. But then again, they are used to drive Škoda Octavias, which are the absolute top when it comes to reliability.
guys
From looking at this: http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1520211-The-Walking-Dead.html
Is HMMV multifuel? Most Czech army cars are, i.e. you can put petrol, diesel, whatever you find in a liquor store in and it will run. If not then the car is out due to fuel economy.
What is fuel economy and reliability of 1990 Suburban?
The Tucson really is not such a bad choice.
im not sure but i think the hmmv is a pure diesel vehicle.
Making stories with intelligent characters who don’t make bad decisions is less entertaining.
At least its not as bad as 75% of U.S. action films where they defeat guy after guy then don’t pickup any ammo or a new weapon and then they get jacked up by the “boss” (because they ran out of ammo) and only defeat them from some clever ploy during an villainous monologue.
I’d still put one in just in case SHTF, and maybe 3 same Tucsons for the rest of the group. (I know, not entertaining, but would make sense).
I agree, make bad decisions now and then, but otherwise behave like a responsible and intelligent person would when SHTF.
Pick up the gun when there is one.
Always keep a couple of people on watch.
Cooperate more effectively as @ProkyBrambora said.
Use all the resources available and use them wisely.
In the comic you actually get to watch them learn and develop tactics, such as herding.
In the show they always use guns because its more dramatic and sell easier to a wider audience then a hatchet.
They learn quickly guns attract the dead for many miles and bullets are better saved for the living.
Oh yeah and what really happened to ricks baby.

I think the best course of action, would be to get, to a place where you wouldn’t have to deal with zombies or humans.
If you like the zombie genre you might like this book.
Another fantastic book by the same author. The movie they made of it, was absolutely horrendous though.
and his wife, and also shis is the reason the governor is dead, not rick beating him or whatever happened in the show, the sniper lady he ordered to kill ricks wife kills her, and goes over to discover the baby and turns arounds and caps the governor.
I still think that disposing of them from distance is the best solution. Possibly not with firearms, but distance nevertheless.
Is that dead baby eating its way out?
They develop some really cool techniques it what makes it worth the read, it goes slower then the show so you can see the finer details of them adapting.
Its Lori and the baby getting shot by a hunting rifle. if you look closely the bundle shes holding is the baby with the lower section taking the fatal damage.
This is during the raid on the prison by the governor.
