Have to wait and see if the person was an intruder. But the parent should not have left the gun out for them when they were gone.

I am not really sure, but in the end it comes to the question: what could have happened to the kids inside if they didn’t shoot the intruder? Apparently any of million of bad things.
That is what movies make you think. In ideal world, yes. In really world, very often the only meaningful way of defensive gun use is shooting at the center of mass.
Anyways, you never shoot to kill, you shoot to stop the threat.

When i noticed it was a black neighbourhood, i thought it could be some sort of gang initiation for the teenagers. Again it’s only a thought, there’s nothing to back it up.
Part of me says good on the kid but then the other half says . Why the fuck was an 11 year old and there 4 year old sibling left alone without a parent in the house , and a loaded gun within reach ,
