Probably one of the main reasons i favour isolationism. We’re pretty much spit on by Europe, and they forget what we did for them.

What i meant by my earlier statement though, is that all the bases we have around the world now, do not protect America or American citizens. They protect the greed of the men running our nation into the ground.

Against probably 60 million troops? And besides the U.K wasn’t a nuclear power till at least the 50’s, i could be wrong on that though.

The first thing you see when you open doors to my flat is a target with a figure having quite a few wholes in the torso & head after rapid fire drill. A few spent cases lie on chair under it.

If anyone comes with ill will, there will be no question about him knowingly going against a gun.

I have known people with similar setups (except on houses and the property leading up to it) usually boils down to “cross this line and your liable to get shot, and then bit on the ass by my dog then shot again if your still squirming”.

We don’t have castle doctrine, though. Nevertheless these signs/targets are helpful in legal defense - generally if someone willingly and intentionally goes against a gun, the courts put whatever happens on the dumb-ass himself. Otherwise judges like to ask questions like whether you gave advance warning before using deadly force, gave warning shot or why you shot center of mass instead of leg in situations when attacker is unarmed. And I can’t really imagine situation in which I am giving advance warnings to a threat in my small flat other than the target by entrance.

could get interesting , iran is sending troops into syria . which are believed to be joining the Hezbollah and the Syrian army in a major ground offensive , supported by russian air power .

so it seems the russians will cluster bomb the fuck out of the rebels for a few days before the offensive starts .

Although i must say this worries me. What happens if god forbid some U.S personal get killed by Russian air strikes or vice versa?

That could cause some serious issues, and now John fucking mcain is running his mouth saying we should give the Syrian rebels anti air missiles to shoot down Russian planes, which means we would be giving ISIS the weapons to shoot down our own planes as well.

We need to just cut our loses and stay back, Russia seems to be doing what we should have done 2 fucking years ago.

if that happened russia would hit the roof and while you have obama in office i think war on any level with russia isnt a great idea .

and neither side want a genuine war they just both want to look strong on the international stage

Yes i agree, and the candidates that are ahead in the polls seem just as bad. But it could ignite a conflict that took place in Syria, between the U.S and Russia and that would not be good.

Well if U.S troops were killed by a Russian air strike Obama would most likely respond by going golfing or prancing around like a celebrity.

But if our air strikes hit Russian troops i’d imagine Putin would take it more seriously, if it happened more than once it could start shit.

I favor isolationism, but ISIS is our fault, so we do need to take care of that. But when it comes to getting involved with Syria, i think we should give it a wide berth now that Russian, Iran, and even China have gotten involved. Tensions are too high with those countries, i think we should just stick with getting ISIS out of Iraq.

With Assad now backed by those countries he should have little trouble crushing the rebels.

still depends on the situation . was russia aware they were there ? etc this is why its so important the two sides talk . even if supporting different sides , they must be aware of each others positions .

[/quote] putin is a very calm and calculated leader . he would deal with it in such a manor, but again still depends on the circumstances in which the blue on blue took place .

[/quote] they should do better yes but the Syrian army is still lacking in man power , if they get some victories however more people may join the Syrian army .

i cant see russia putting men on the ground unless their bases were under threat .
