It’s not EU, it is the Council of Europe, which is a totally different organization. Or to be more precise, it is the UK’s affiliation to the European Convention on Human Rights and European Court for Human Rights.
I know people like to blame the EU, but in this case, it has nothing to do with it.
Forgetting to take a safety off when you are mugged is more dangerous.
That is also why 99% of negligent discharges of US police officers are with Glock type of guns, which are single action with very light trigger pull.
My CZ is DA/SA which means that the first pull is very heavy, it is impossible to fire without intent. Any other is light allowing very precise follow up shots. The Kahr has a long medium trigger, which significantly reduces ND too. Ruger will be the same.
I like 1911 and I’ll buy one down the line, but still, this higher on the list.
