China is actually a serious threat to the surrounding countries, and the only ones capable of holding them off temporarily are Japan and South Korea. They don’t want a direct confrontation with us but they want to expand in the South China sea which is owned by other countries.
The parties army made a fake city that looks identical to Taiwan’s capitol, and they’re training to invade it. If they decide to theres not much we can do. Our subs in the area could stall an invasion but China has enough fire power to obliterate the entire nation, without setting foot on it.

Yes that would be weird indeed. China said if Taiwan ever declared themselves a separate nation they would invade them. Plus Taiwan is the unsinkable air craft carrier, and China has wanted it for a long time.
If they did invade I’m willing to bet we would probably sit on our asses. The only things that could do damage are our subs in the area, which could prevent China from invading. Taiwan has said they’re confident they could hold off China for about a month.
i doubt the west would get involved . it simply is not worth it . we rely to much on 12 year old Chinese kids building our stuff so the large corporations wouldnt allow war with china . it would be bad for business
