Well, that is what happens when Italian immigrant comes to the Czech Republic and sees pictures of kids with guns, which really makes hardly anyone here think about it twice. We now have the second lowest unemployment rate in EU (after Germany) and we are seeing large influx of immigrant workers coming from countries like Italy, Greece and Spain, and that despite the fact that our wages are considerably lower. But I guess it is better to work for less money here than sit on their hands in Spain. (And the same money gets them further here with lower cost of living of course). I have an Englishman working in my company and when I told him this is shall issue CC country, I thought he’s gonna fall off his chair. But we concluded with the fact that there are 30.000 CCers in Prague alone and he never felt threatened in the year he has been here, so it’s all well.
Police are often going to schools and presenting everything from handguns to sniper rifles. When I was at high school, we had a cop come to us with a huge suit case packed with samples of basically every thinkable drug 
Not that we could try the samples, but surely makes the drugs prevention class more interesting :)))
There was this case last year where a cop went to introduce police work to a KINDERGARTEN and when he was packing the guns back to the car, he left it unatanded and some junkie just took Scorpion SBR from the car. The cop realized he doesn’t have it only after he came back to the station several hours later
Sure they caught the junkie next day, but still, kind of funny to bring whole arsenal to 5 years olds

Huh this is surprising. The U.S has a lower unemployment rate than all of the EU except Germany. I would have thought the opposite.
this was at the notting hill carnival in london where its pretty routine every year for the police to join in the party as well as keeping the peace

[/quote] I got a similar thing when I was about 13 with the cadets .
We did a course learning about the police and all their different units . Part of the course we got to go visit the K-9 unit , air support unit and the armed response unit came to us , got to try on all the full tactical kit and of course all the weapons in the back of his car (a fucking lot )
We also got a WW2 gun collector come in which was pretty good I remember being fascinated with the MG42 . The whole room was filled with every WW2 weapon you could think of .
of course being a collector/museum . The weapons were his business so he would of been allowed a section 5 licence in which you can own any weapon you can think of . Sadly the average joe isn’t able to get such a licence 
unless you start a business in which you need it .
As if going to work on Sunday wasn’t bad in enough on its own, they put new decorations on the streets.

Here it is subject to may issue permit on collector’s license, which I do have actually. I’d need to up my collection to a dozen non-restricted firearms to get the may issue permit for full autos like MG42, but it should be doable. Then there is also professional license which is harder to get, but also attainable and then makes the purchase permit for full autos shall issue.
The main downside is that then you must allow police officers to check guns’ safe storage. So not that many Czechs have legal full autos. (But I suspect there is a number of otherwise law abiding licensed gun owners with non-registered = illegal full autos. It is a not that uncommon for people to react to question regarding the number of guns in their collection with saying “I have XY legal guns” without adding anything else to it.)

Otherwise, I mostly work 9-22 + between 6 and 18 hours on weekends.

When i was in normal school i mainly just saw kids smoking during the middle of class, or coming back from lunch completely stoned.
2 kids were expelled for selling meth. Great school right?

I believe so, although it could be different based on what state you’re in.
Well here they have to at least call in advance. Which they don’t in Germany, and I suppose also not in UK.
