The †roll Cave ®™

They might be delaying the game again. I just can’t see this summer as a realistic release date.

I hope our guys learned something in these exercises considering that we lost one plane and one helicopter there.

Titles wrong . Trident was not the largest since the Cold War , there was one in 2002/2001 involving 40,000 troops

Yeah, I know, I’ve realized that.

Although I can’t find how much airpower the Czech Republic lost in that one

“Ready to intervene anywhere in the world within 48 hours”

Isn’t that the estimated time it would take for Russia to steam role the Baltic states?

Getting through to a certain point and gaining ground effectively are two different things. Especially in countries like Estonia where there are thousands of reservists with army rifles kept at home who are trained in guerrilla warfare.

Anyway, these are all special forces, they are not meant to go head to head with all might of Russian force, they are meant to deliver surgical cuts into its Achilles heels.

But what then? From what ive seen NATO does not have the power to force Russia out of Eastern Europe should they decide to invade. Also let’s add that it’s highly unlikely NATO would react within 48 hours even with this spear head force. What did we do when Russia was steam rolling Georgia?

Good on them, but they should still have a stronger military or leave NATO.

Actually just European NATO countries do have the power to do it on their own, the bigger issue is their willingness. Russia had neglected their army for 20 years, now they only have a couple of units that are on par with NATOs.

Everyone in Crimea had modern gear. But if you look at what Russian soldiers carry to Syria now, you would not recognize difference between them and their fathers in Afghanistan. Within five years Ukraine will be modernized enough to make any further Russian advance too costly.

Georgia is not a NATO country, Georgia was never given security assurances.

The difference is that if Baltics fall, it is the end of whole NATO. And that is something that two big military players won’t allow - US and Poland.

Polish army is now much stronger than German. EDIT: And I should add that Poles just voted in extremely anti-Russian/anti-EU government that will further boast their army capabilities.

What you mean other people go to the nuclear bunker which is sign posted  never

You could really say the same thing about Europe. You guys have completely scrapped your armed forces. The U.S marine corps alone is larger, and has access to more fire power than any European nation excluding Russia.

Let’s be honest here Russia is building up their military, and mean while it seems most European nations are doing the exact opposite.

I did look into this, and i didn’t see evidence of out of date troops running around. They look similar to the U.S forces.

Edit: i did see some pictures showing some Russian soldiers in what looked like out of date equipment, but i also saw many pictures with them looking very similar to NATO troops.

Correct my mistake, but we were quite close to them and all we did was send Russia strongly worded letter of disapproval, and we did the same in Ukraine, despite swearing to protect them.

Well i honestly would not count on the U.S right now, and not in the future depending on who gets in office. We are sick of war, and the population is turning towards isolationism like we were intended to be.

Right now the public approval ratings for NATO are at an all time low, and no one is too keen on helping out our allies in East Europe if they are attacked. The U.S is heading down the path of its own destruction, and it will most likely end in collapse or civil war.

The difference is that we went down with numbers but kept those small numbers in good condition and with modern equipment.

Meanwhile Russia has kept huge number of soldiers and was spending all the money on keeping the 1980 army up to the 1980 standards.

Now they are heavily modernizing, but they can’t afford to field modern toys in large numbers, and at the same time large number of their modern toys were imported from the West. E.g. modern tank aiming systems. Now they will have to spend another 5 years developing everything they can’t buy on their own.

Europe has the technology, has armies with extensive combat experience from Iraq and Afghanistan, has the money. Just didn’t realize shit is serious with the Russian dictator.

Yeah, maybe like Vietnam era US forces.

That is still no direct security assurance.

Still not there yet.

I can’t help myself but hate how Czech discourse about Moslim immigration turns into 1935 German debate about Jews. And Vávra is right there with his Facebook posts.

oh yea he is.
But No need to point it out.

Though anyone who reads his tweets or facebook can make that guess.

I don’t agree. It matters to me where (who) my money is going to.

For example I was planning to buy vz.58 from a certain shop that had superb low prices. Then I found out that the owner supports more gun control (i.e. periodic re-examining of gun owners - he is an official examiner, so go figure). I won’t ever buy a singly bullet from them and I’ll lobby all my friends to boycott him.

I must have missed those tweets, or they were much more toned down compared to his FB.

oh yea, fb seems stronger in that sense.

I can understand that.
But you want to have a good story in the game and he can deliver that.

Simple as that.

I am sure you can make a complaint here on forums or directly to Warhorse. Or you can tolerate him.
Though except story he also brings people as he is bit popular thanks to Mafia.

So yea, you can (and maybe even should if you feel that way) point it out, but in separate topic without sneaking it in other topics.

But I woud prefer no hate topics.

It’s not an issue of complaining. I respect his freedom of speech.

I am just not sure I would have pledged had I read his FB first.
