Czech Republic will vote against it in the Council. However we are getting fucked because likeminded countries like Finland and Sweden started to negotiate exceptions for themselves instead of going straight ahead against the proposal.
It created a real shitstorm here. This shit has been the main news for 3 days now, every politician feels it is his time to be heard on air.
Are you starting to see why the EU is bad? Even if the majority of Czechs opposed this bill, it could still get passed because of people in other countries. That is not Democracy.

Well majority decisions in council were only on paper… that was the gentlemen’s agreement up until the majority decision on migrant quotas. So now everything is possible I guess.
BTW Slovakia just filed a suit against EU before the CJEU regarding the quotas decision.

In all seriousness the EU is an abhorrent evil, that defeats the purpose of democracy. People talk about a North American union in the U.S and that would literally be the death of our country, and Canada as well.
There are only two non third world nations in North America, the U.S and Canada, and all the third world issues would then become our own issues. I cannot comprehend why people see unions like that as a good idea.
