Uh no they are not, you can buy Ar-15 clones but the media is saying that they used an Ar-15. Perhaps they are mistaken but if its an Ar-15 then it is not legal. Unless they bought it and registered it before 2000
They got their information directly from the ATF and i bet they would know weather it was a Ar-15 or a knock off.

Apparently you can also own fixed magazines, but we know from witnesses that they were reloading and had mags strapped to their vests.
Hmm lets see, they are part of the most violent religion on the planet. The man went to the middle east for at least a year doing god knows what. Came back with a vested interest in fire arms, they all described themselves as very religious on Facebook, ISIS has been saying they are going to hit targets in the U.S for months now

As you can see California is one listed, their attack resembles other ISIS attacks it was planned, they had explosives, and tactical gear. So this is mostly speculation but given this evidence would not agree this looks and sounds a lot like ISIS?
If they just went in and started shooting randomly i would call it just another shooting. But they had all the gear, explosives you name it. This was a planned attack, not just some mentally ill people snapping.
They also dropped their daughter off at a relatives house a few days before the attack took place.
They were in a building with loads of other people most of them being mentally disabled, so i would say it was a very easy target for them like France. The shooters had automatic weaponry according to witnesses and police. The shooters in France took their sweet time murdering people because they knew they wouldn’t face any real resistance from the French police who don’t have the weaponry to take them on. Had the shooters been in the building for hours like the ones in France were, the death toll would have been much much higher.
The police were also able to find and eliminate the terrorists relatively shortly after they escaped, with no policemen dead. I’d say they worked quite effectively. It also helped that SWAT was nearby training already but that seems a bit suspect to me.
